Veterinary Courses have been so much important since many years as this is the branch of Medical Science which also has such high importance as it helps someone be able to treat animals.
The course includes fields like Veterinary Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries.
Governing Body: VCI or Veterinary Council of India is the governing body that regulates all the educational programmes related to veterinary sciences.
Eligibility:
Subject Requirements:
Physics, Chemistry and Biology are required in 10+2 or equivalent.
Age limit: For different colleges/universities there are particular requirements for the age limit set by them so do check the same before applying anywhere.
Education Qualification: 10+2 or its equivalent.
Marks Requirement: To be eligible for various Entrance Examinations and for admissions into the various colleges and universities there are some minimum marks requirements set for aggregate and particular subjects.
Courses: The main course after 10+2 or equivalent in Veterinary Sciences is the B.V.Sc and B.V.Sc & AH or Bachelor in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry provided by various colleges and universities in India.
This is a 5.5 years duration full-time residential course including internship.
There are some universities that also provide courses in Dairy and Fisheries.
Major Entrance Exams:
NEET: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET conducted by the NTA for admissions into the MBBS, BDS and various medical allied courses in India is also used for admissions into the All India Quota of 15% seats of B.V.Sc in all colleges of India
At present, through NEET the admissions are provided to a total of 525 B.V.Sc. seats.

Karnataka UGCET: Karnataka Under Graduate Common Entrance Test is conducted for admissions into the B.VSc and various other courses in government and private colleges and universities of Karnataka.

AP EAMCET: Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test or AP EAMCET is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada or JNTU on behalf of APSCHE for admissions into the B.VSc and various other courses offered by many government and private colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

TJEE: The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) conducts Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE)-2020 on the basis of its existing syllabi, to prepare merit list for admission (*) to Engineering, Technological, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, Paramedical and other Professional Degree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura.
