Karnataka UG CET 2021:  The Karnataka UG CET 2021 or Karnataka Under Graduate Common Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted by KEA or Karnataka Examinations Authority for admissions into various Undergraduate Courses after second year PUC or Class 12th offered by various government and private colleges located in Karnataka (Except Central Institutes).

The Karnataka UG CET 2021 will be conducted tentatively in the 2nd or 3rd week of May, 2021 and the Application for the same is expected to arrive from the 1st or 2nd week of February, 2021.

The Common Entrance Test will be held on TWO days in FOUR different sessions for four subjects. On the first day, test will be conducted for Biology and Mathematics subjects in two sessions and on the next day test will be conducted for Physics and Chemistry subjects in two sessions as per the date and time notified. Each paper / subject will be conducted for 60 marks each with a duration of 80 minutes.

Karnataka UG CET Application Form 2021:  The Karnataka UG CET Application Form 2021 will be available tentatively from the 1st week of February, 2021 and is expected to be available till the last week of March, 2021.

The Karnataka UG CET 2021 Application Form will be available online on the KEA Official Website: http://kea.kar.nic.in/

The Application Fee for Karnataka UG CET 2021 will be

  • INR 500 for General and OBC Candidates
  • INR 250 for SC and ST Candidates

The Karnataka UG CET Application Form 2021 can be filled online by following these steps:

First Phase:

  • Step 1: Candidates have to select “CET-2020 UG Online Application” by browsing URL on Website http://kea.kar.nic.in.
  • Step 2: Candidates have to click on “New User? Click Here to Register” on the home page of online application form. Candidates will have to provide all the required information in the candidate registration form and submit. After successful registration, candidates will receive an Application number and User-ID to their registered mobile phone number and email-id and also same will be displayed on the screen. Later on candidates have to create their own password for further entry of online application.
  • Step 3: A Login Prompt will be displayed and candidates are required to enter the User ID and Password created by them and Login.
  • Step 4: On successful login by the candidates “Student information” will be displayed, in which the candidates have to start entering the required information.
  • Step 5: Once the candidates complete the student information entries, they will have to save the entries made.
  • Step 6: The candidates will enter the all the study details and select “save and next” button.
  • Step 7: After successful saving the study details, the candidates will have to upload the scanned images of Photograph, candidate signature, candidate Left Hand Thumb Impression and Parent Signature and select “save and next” button. After completion of the above steps, the candidates have to take the Draft Printout, carefully verify the entries made by them and if any changes are required, they can do so by login in any number of times before selecting the declaration.

Second Phase: In this phase, the candidate will select the declaration, read and understand it completely and then select “Submit” button. After submission select the bank challan, download and take a printout of the challan and make the payment in the respective bank.

  • Step 1: After completion of entry of all the details candidate’s will receive an application ID and Password to their registered email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.
  • Step 2: Candidates have to upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph and Signature in JPG / JPEG format separately. (Photograph Captured on the mobile phone can also be updated)
  • Step 3: Candidates have to take the printout of the Challan copy which is in triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay prescribed fee. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branch of specified Banks. The bank will retain their copy of the Challan respectively and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the candidates. Or the candidates can pay the fees through net-banking.
  • Step 4: Candidates have to take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper. Affix candidate’s recent Passport size Photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression on the space provided. Afterwards students have to obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where they have studied 2nd PU or 12th Standard on the space provided in the printed form. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of the Challan (KEA copy).

 

Principal / Gazetted Officer Signature: The downloaded application form (after final submission) should be duly attested by the Principal where the candidate is presently studying. If the candidate has passed the 2nd PU / 12 standard examination before the 2021 Annual examination, the candidate should obtain the signature from his / her previous College Principal where he/she has passed the 2nd PU / 12th Std examination OR by any Gazetted Officer. Attestation by the Principal / Gazetted Officer in the space provided on the downloaded application form is compulsory to all the candidates. Candidates not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.

NOTE: · Candidates should preserve two to three copies of photocopies of their downloaded application form, for future reference. · Original Copy of the downloaded application form signed by the Principal should be submitted compulsorily during the time of document verification along with other documents.

Karnataka UG CET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The Karnataka UG CET Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.

The candidate and either of the parent’s mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and either of parent was domiciled in the state of Karnataka, such candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on 1st May of 2021. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada, Language test conducted by KEA.

  • Father / Mother 10th standard marks card / cumulative record in original in support of mother tongue as Kannada / Tulu / Kodava.
  • 7) A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidates.

A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied for a period of SEVEN YEARS between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga or Manjeshwar Taluks of Kerala State. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada, Language test conducted by KEA.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with –
  • Residential certificate from the concerned Tahsildar of the respective disputed Taluk.
  • Candidate’s study certificate issued by the head of institution, which should be countersigned by Taluk Education Officer.

NOTE: The candidates claiming eligibility under Clauses ‘c’ and ‘d’ above, should invariably speak, read and write Kannada and must secure a minimum of 12 marks in Kannada Language Test to be conducted by KEA on 24-04-2020. Otherwise, they will not be assigned ranks

In the case of a candidate who is son or daughter of defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course. The candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka.

Son or daughter of serving Defence personnel from Karnataka who at the time of joining the Defence service had declared his / her hometown a place in the State of Karnataka. Proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced by obtaining the extract from the AG’s branch (Army Hqs) respective branch of integrated HQ of MoD for Officers and respective Record Offices for JCOs / OR. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

In the case of a candidate who is a son or daughter of a defence personnel who had served in Karnataka for at least one year and is posted on duty in Field / Active Service and whose family is permitted by Defence Authorities to continue to stay in Karnataka. Such candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in Karnataka.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card
  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with
  • The candidate’s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.
  • Service certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office indicating the period during which the parent has worked in Karnataka and a certificate showing the present place of posting, indicating that his family is permitted to stay in Karnataka. The present working place of the parent should be indicated in NAME and not by CODE NUMBERS.

h

Son or daughter of an ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence service had declared a place in Karnataka as his home town, proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced from the “Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement” of that District and the same should countersigned by the Director Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

In the case of a candidate being a son or daughter of an employee of the Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking, who is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment and has worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course. and such candidate has studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka

Son or daughter of a working or retired employee of the Union Government or employee of Union or Karnataka State Government undertaking or Joint Sector undertaking where such employee;

(a) had declared to the employer at the time of joining service any place in Karnataka to be his home town; and

(b) had studied in any Government or Government recognised educational institution or institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years; and was or is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

Son or daughter of serving or retired employee:

(a) belonging to All India Service of Karnataka cadre.

(b) of the Karnataka State Government, who has served or is serving outside the State of Karnataka during the period corresponding to Candidate’s study outside the State from 1st standard to 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination can be added to make up the seven years study within Karnataka as required under clause (a) above.

  • Certificate from the Principal Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, DPAR, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore where the parent belongs to All India Service of Karnataka cadre stating that the parent is a member of such All India Cadre. The certificate should also indicate the period during which he has served or is serving outside the state of Karnataka and if the parent is a State Government Employee, a certificate from the concerned Head of the Department or the Head of the Office where such parent is employed should be produced in this regard.

m

Son or daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, proof of such migration (IDENTITY CARD) should be obtained and produced from the jurisdictional “District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner” of any state in India.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card
  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with
  • A original certificate (IDENTITY CARD) issued by the Jurisdictional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India, as the proof of migration. The candidates who are claiming eligibility under clause ‘m’ are eligible only for the seats earmarked by the Government.

The candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka. Such candidates need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA. Provided the candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card
  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with
  • A domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his father / mother have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01-05-2021.   • Candidate’s Study certificate, for having studied in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard issued by the head of the institution.

Son / Daughter of working or Retired employee in Central Armed Police Force service, who at the time of joining the CAPF service (Central Armed Police Force) had declared the hometown as a place in the State of Karnataka, proof of such domicile having been produced by obtaining the extract from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit where the Parent’s service record are maintained. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card
  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate.
  • If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar as per the prescribed format given in the brochure; along with
  • Parent’s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by Record Office of the CAPF unit, where the parents service records are maintained.

 

Reservation:

For Reserved Category Candidates:

Reservation is made in favour of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes of citizens under categories 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B.

For Rural Candidates:

  • 15% of the Government seats will be reserved horizontally in favour of rural candidates who have studied for 10 full academic years from 1st Standard to 10th Standard in educational institutions situated in places in the State of Karnataka other than larger urban area, smaller urban area or transitional area.
  • The candidates whose parents do not come under the creamy layer and the candidates who have studied TEN full academic years from 1st Standard to 10th Standard in places other than the places listed in this brochure will be eligible for claiming the benefit of Rural reservations. However, if the candidates have studied in these places from 1st to 10th standard before the date of notification as urban area, such candidates are eligible to claim rural reservation benefit.

For Kannada Medium Candidates:

5% of the Government seats will be reserved horizontally in favour of the Kannada medium candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada medium from 1st Standard to 10th Standard

 

 

 

For Ward of Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants:

  • Reservation is made in favour of the son / daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, who satisfy the eligibility condition for Government seats in accordance with clause (m) of Item.
  • One seat each in Engineering colleges, irrespective of course.

For Article 371 (J) Hyderabad Karnataka:

  • The part of the State called the Hyderabad-Karnataka Region comprising the districts of Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary shall be regarded as the local area.
  • 70% of the available seats in every course of study in any regional University or educational institution located in the places referred above in the local area shall be reserved in favour of the local persons, in respect of such University or education institution.
  • 8% of the available seats in every course of study provided in a state wide University or a statewide educational institution be allocated among the local candidates of the Hyderabad-Karnataka Region.

 

For NCC:

  • Candidates who have participated in Republic Day Camp conducted by the Director General of NCC, New Delhi from Karnataka or who have scaled Mount Everest as part of Directorate of General NCC Team and who possess ‘B’ Certificate obtained during the five-year period of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards.
  •  
  • (ii) Candidates who have participated in the following camps conducted by the Director General of NCC, New Delhi from Karnataka and who possess ‘B’ Certificate obtained during the five-year period of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards namely;

(a) All India Thal Sainik Camp (Boys) - TSC (B);

(b) All India Thal Sainik Camp (Girls) - TSC (G) ;

(c) All India Nau Sainik Camp - NSC;

(d) All India Vayu Sainik Camp – VSC;

(e) Cadets who have been finally selected as a part of DG NCC team to participate in All India Movalankar Shooting Championship at National Level AND Youth Exchange Programmes and “Foreign Naval Cruise” or “National Shooting championship Competition (NSCC) or any other All India Shooting Competition organized by DG NCC, NCC National Games as part of Karnataka and Goa Directorate contingent or having been selected by DG NCC to participate in any Naval Cruise on board India Naval Ships or Coast Guard Ships o having scaled the Mountaineering peaks (above 5500 meters) other that Mount Everest, as part of Directorate of General NCC Team” organised by DG, NCC.

For SPORTS:

Candidates who have represented the country and won medals / cups in SUPER-A Games appended to this brochure during the five-year period of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards.

  • Candidates who have represented the country and won medals / cups in ‘A – Games’ appended to this brochure during the five-year period of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards
  • Candidates who have won medals / cups in ‘B-Games’ appended to this brochure by representing Karnataka State and participated in the SUPER-A Games or A-Games appended to this brochure during the five-year period of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards

Karnataka UG CET Exam Pattern 2021: The Karnataka UG CET Exam Pattern 2021 is important to read for every student who wishes to appear for it.

The Karnataka UG CET Exam Pattern 2021 gives a clear idea to the student about the type of questions, exam duration exam language and various other important details about the examination.

The Karnataka UG CET Exam Pattern 2021 also helps in the planning of preparation for the examination and successfully clearing the same.

Karnataka UG CET will be held on two days in four different sessions for four subjects. On the first day Paper 1, Paper 2 will be conduct and on the  second day Paper 2, Paper 3 will be conduct.

Kannada Language Test Both for Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga Candidates:

  • Candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada.
  • The Kannada Language Test will be conducted by KEA.
  • The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of the Kannada Language Test.
  • Candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in the Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2021.

Note: Candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

 

Karnataka UG CET Admit Card 2021:  The Karnataka UG CET Admit Card 2021 or Karnataka UG CET Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download in the 3rd or 4th week of April, 2021 on the official website of Karnataka UG CET: www.kea.kar.nic.in .

Download the Karnataka UG CET Admit Card 2021 by following below mentioned steps:

  • Go to the official website i.e., www.kea.kar.nic.in .
  • Click the UG CET 2021 Exam.
  • Click on the Download Hall ticket.
  • Enter Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
  • Download and Print the Karnataka UG CET Admit Card 2021.

 

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

 

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

 

Karnataka UG CET Result 2021: The Karnataka UG CET Result 2021 will be published online on the Karnataka UG CET website: www.sche.ap.gov.in .

Check the Karnataka UG CET Result 2021 by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Click on the Result.
  • Enter the Registration Number and Date of Birth
  • Result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and Print the Karnataka UG CET Result 2021 for further references.

Merit List:

For Engineering:

  • On the basis of marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects in CET 2021.
  • Marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the Qualifying Examination, taken in equal proportions.

For Agriculture:

On the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to these.

 

For Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry:

  • On the basis of marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects taken together in the CET 2021.
  • The B.V.Sc & A.H. rank list will be prepared and published for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses.

 

For B. Pharma:

  • On the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in Common Entrance Test 2021.
  • Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to B-Pharm.

For Pharm-D:

  • On the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2021.
  • Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to Pharm-D

Separate result sheets showing the Engineering, Architecture, Farm Science, B-Pharm and Pharm-D ranks will be published on the official website.

Admission Counselling

Karnataka UG CET Counselling Procedure 2021:  The Karnataka UG CET Counselling Procedure will begin after the Karnataka UG CET 2021 Results are declared.

The Karnataka UG CET Counselling Procedure 2021 will be conducted as follows in detail:

  • The Admission Counselling will be conducted online.
  • The Counselling will be done as per the Candidate’s category and Rank in Karnataka UG CET 2021.
  • The Candidates will have to fill options for counseling as per their choice of college and courses depending upon the UG CET that they opted.
  • The Seat Allotment will be done in an iteration of 3 Rounds namely Round 1, Round 2, and Round 2 extended.
  • The seat allotment in all the Rounds will be as per the Candidate’s Rank in UG CET and their respective category.
  • Once candidates are allotted seats in any of the rounds, they will have to complete the admission process if they accept the seat or proceed to Round 2.
  • After all the Rounds are completed the admission process or seat allotment in the counseling procedure ends.

After the Karnataka UG CET Counselling Procedure ends and the admissions in all the undergraduate courses are completed in all the colleges the new session of the first year of all the courses will start in all the colleges as per their respective schedule.
