The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the WBJEE application form 2021. WBJEE-2021 will be conducted on July 11, tentatively. Candidates can fill the WBJEE application form 2021 till March 23 at wbjeeb.nic

The WBJEE 2021 will be conducted for admissions in the 1st year of Undergraduate full-time courses of Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy offered in the various colleges located in the territory of West Bengal who take admissions through WBJEE for these undergraduate courses.

The WBJEE 2021 will have two papers as follows:

Paper I: Mathematics and

Paper-II: Physics and Chemistry (Combined)

Candidates who will appear in both Paper I and Paper II will be awarded General Merit Rank (GMR) and will be eligible for admissions in the Engineering/Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy courses in all Institutes.

Candidates who will appear only in Paper-II will be awarded Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) and will be eligible for admissions only in the Pharmacy courses in all Institutes (Except Jadavpur University).

 WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2021 for Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy is as follows:

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Domicile

  • There is no domicile requirement to appear in the WBJEE 2021.
  • However, the domicile requirement is applicable for admission to any government-aided Engineering/Pharmacy/Technology colleges and Jadavpur University.
  • The domicile requirement is applicable for admission in any reserved category seat (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, TFW) in any course in any institute.
  • If the certificate is then found to be invalid, the candidate will lose the opportunity of admission to the institute.

Criteria to be treated as the domicile of West Bengal:

 

Only those candidates will be treated as the domicile of West Bengal who is either;

  • Residing in West Bengal continuously at least for 10 years as of 31 December 2020.

                                                                  OR

  • Whose parent is/are permanent residents of West Bengal having a permanent address within the state of West Bengal.

Age Limit  

  • The Candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December 2021. There is no upper age limit.
  • For to take admission into the marine engineering course the lower age limit is 17 years as of 31.12.2021 and the upper age limit is 25 years as of 31.12.2021.

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and scored at least 45% marks in all the above three subjects taken together with individual passing marks.
  • Candidates must have passed English in +2 with at least 30% marks.
  • For SC/ST, relaxation in marks is 40%.
  • The board of the said qualifying exam must be recognized either by Central Government or State Government.
  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board with subject combination of PCM/PCB.
  • Must have obtained at least 45% in all the 3 subjects taken together.
  • Candidates must have passed English in +2 with at least 30% marks.
  • For SC/ST, relaxation in marks is 40%.
  • The board of the said qualifying exam must be recognized either by Central Government or State Government.

 

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and scored at least 45% marks in all the above three subjects taken together.
