St Xavier’s Mumbai starts application process for BMS and BMM

St. Xavier’s College Mumbai has begun the online application process for the Entrance Test and consequently for Admission to the Three-Year Degree Courses in Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication & Journalism) */ (B.M.M.) and of Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) for the Academic Year 2021-2022.

According to the official notification, the BMS/BMM Entrance Test will be conducted anytime between 10th and 20th August 2021. The final date and batch will be communicated by email. The duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours.

The Schedule will remain unaltered even if the dates are declared Public Holidays. If any change does occur due to unforeseen circumstances, candidates will be informed via St. Xavier’s College e-mailing service (henceforth referred to as email). You are requested not to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

Given the COVID pandemic situation, this year’s entrance test will be conducted as an Online video proctored test. Keeping in mind the safety of the candidates, this mode of testing will enable the candidates to take the exam from the safe environment of their homes.

Hence it is mandatory for candidates who want to take this entrance test to have access to the following:

 1. A desktop/laptop with functional web camera and microphone (either Windows OS or Mac OS)

2. Internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 1.5 – 2.0 Mbps or higher.

3. A phone (Android or iOS) and you will have to download our application to attempt the test on the phone. (Link to the app will be provided via email later)

(More information on the software used will be provided at a later date closer to the entrance test)

The St. Xavier’s online video proctored test will be of 100 marks with NO negative marking. The Question Paper for both the tests will be in English and the pattern is MCQ’s.

The Test for BA(MCJ)*/(BMM) will consist of: Questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Interpretation, Economics, English Language & Comprehension Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Critical Analysis & Creative Thinking.

The online application portal will be open from 11 am (IST) on 8th July 2021 to 6 pm (IST) on 5th August 2021.

Online Application Form and BA(MCJ)*/(BMM) & BMS 2021 Entrance Test Fee: Rs. 2500/- for each course.

Candidates are required to make an online payment through the provided payment portal only.

NOTE: Filling of the Application Form and the Payment for the 2021 Online video proctored Entrance Test will be only through the online portal of the college. A form is considered completed and an application successful only once a successful payment is made.

St Xavier’s Eligibility Criteria:

Every candidate must ensure that he/she satisfies all the eligibility conditions given below for taking admission for the BA(MCJ)*/(BMM) / BMS program 2021 -2022.

The candidate should have cleared the Qualifying 12th Examination.

The candidate’s date of birth must fall on or after 1st June 1998. Only the following document will be accepted as proof of date of birth: School Leaving Certificate, Board / Pre-University Certificate / Birth Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.

For Christian minority candidates, the Baptism Certificate is a mandatory document.
