NIFT releases Online Counseling Schedule for UG and PG courses

NIFT releases the schedule for online counselling for Admission 2021. It will commence from July 14 as per the schedule given below. The candidates can download their Call Letter from the Registration Portal https://nift.applyadmission.net/ using their login credentials as well as from the NIFT website www.nift.ac.in.

The NIFT Entrance Exam Counselling Procedure 2021 or NIFT Counselling Procedure 2021 is as follows:

  • There is a total of Two Rounds of Counselling: Round 1 and Round 2 respectively.
  • The Counselling is done for admissions in the 17 campuses of NIFT or the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
  • For Round 1 the candidates do not need to pay any registration fee.
  • Online Registration for the NIFT Counselling 2021 can be done at the NIFT Official Website: www.nift.ac.in .
  • To complete the registration for the NIFT counselling 2021, students need to enter the requisite information such as form number, date of birth and password. Students need to choose a counselling campus where they have to report for the NIFT counselling process. After successful registration, candidates will receive a system-generated letter from the authorities through SMS and an email on their registered mobile number and email id.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 can choose to either withdraw or accept the allocated seat and pay the admission fee at the respective NIFT Campus.
  • If the candidates have taken admission once and then withdraw then they will not be considered for admission in Round 2.
  • The process for seat allotment in Round 2 is the same as Round 1, the seats that remain vacant after Round 1 will be allocated in Round 2.
  • Withdrawal of Admission after admission and refund of fee:
    1. A candidate, who has taken admission once and then withdraws, will not be considered for admission during subsequent rounds of counselling.
    2. In case the candidate is seeking a refund before the commencement of the academic session, the request for withdrawal of admission in the prescribed proforma may be submitted to the Director of the Campus where the candidate attended the counselling. After commencement of the academic session, a refund request may be submitted to the Director of the Campus allotted to the candidate. The candidates will be required to surrender the original Admission Receipt issued at the time of Counselling/Admission while applying for withdrawal of admission. Requests for withdrawal of admission would not be entertained without original admission receipts.
    3. The refund against the withdrawal of seat will be governed as under:

There would be only two rounds of counselling. The seats vacated by the candidates in the Round 1 would be offered for admission in the second round. Therefore, the candidates who will withdraw after the transfer of the vacant seat for Round 2 will be paid only Security Deposit.

3. Advisory: The admitted candidates who are not willing to join the allotted campus/programme are advised to submit their withdrawal on or before the transfer of vacant seats for Round 2 in their own interest and in the interest of other applicants and NIFT.

 

  • Documents Required for Admission:

The following documents along with the photocopies shall be required for Admission after qualifying for the entrance examination. The original certificates, except the medical certificate, will be returned to the candidate after verification. 

  1. Original certificates of qualifying examination i.e. 12th class/ degree (marks Sheet and Certificate).
  2. In case the candidate has appeared for the qualifying exam/ compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due, the date sheet /admit card for examination has to be brought.
  3. Bank Draft(s) of requisite fee in favour of “NIFT HO” has to be bought. The name of the candidate, date of counselling, phone/ mobile no., name of the programme, Category, Rank and Roll Number is to be mentioned at the back of Bank Draft(s).
  4. Proof of date of birth (Secondary School Mark Sheet & Certificate) (Original and Photocopy).  
  5. SC/ST/OBC - Non-Creamy/PWD/GEN-EWS (supported with requisite Certificate). For State Domicile seats the status of domicile will be decided by the address of school/college (qualifying degree) last attended, whichever applicable.
  6. Basis of funding of the tuition fee/ certificate of the parent’s income e.g Income Tax Return of 2020-21, Salary Certificate of March’2021 etc.
  7. Certificate of Medical Fitness to be signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original.
  8. Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- for seeking provisional admission only in case, the result of the qualifying examination is yet to be declared.
  9. An undertaking regarding Anti-Ragging (Annexure-II)
  10. An undertaking regarding the refund of fee (Annexure-IV)

Note: - In case any of the above document(s) is/are in any language other than Hindi/ English, then as the authentic translation in English/Hindi should be produced duly verified by the issuing institution/ gazetted officer / Self-attested (original and photocopy) by the candidate at the time of Counselling /Admission. Failure on the part of the candidate to produce the requisite authentic translation may result in refusal of admission.

After the NIFT Entrance Exam Counselling Procedure is completed or the NIFT Counselling is completed the orientation programme at the different NIFT Campuses for the finally selected candidates is conducted and the new session begins.
