NID Result 2021 (Prelims) for the BDes course has been declared on June 18. National Institute of Design (NID) declared the result in the form of a merit list, which will also contain the score of candidates.
Candidates can check their NID entrance exam results for Prelims on the official website by using their details such as their registered email address and date of birth.
This year, the NID DAT result was delayed due to the pandemic. Earlier, the NID Entrance Exam result was to be out in the first week of June. The NID Entrance Exam 2021 for Prelims was conducted on March 14.
The NID DAT Main 2021 will be conducted till June 28. NID Mains, including studio test and portfolio submission, will be held in online mode. The NID DAT Mains result 2021 is expected to be announced in July.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation prevailing in the country and the uncertainties arising thereof, the DAT Mains for the Admission Cycle 2021-22 will be held in the ONLINE Mode.
The candidates who are SHORTLISTED FOR DAT Mains must upload a theme poster on the topics as a single PDF file, size not exceeding 10MB. The topics will be communicated separately ONLY to the shortlisted candidates.
The poster can be either done manually in any media and scanned/photographed to be uploaded OR digitally on one A3 size sheet.
The candidates will also be required to prepare a digital copy of their Sample Works/Portfolio to be uploaded as a Single File in PDF Format, size not exceeding 10MB.
The candidates who get shortlisted for DAT Mains would be required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) within a maximum word limit of 300 words (questions will be communicated separately ONLY to the shortlisted candidates), which needs to be typed and uploaded as a Single PDF file, size not exceeding 2MB.
The candidates are also required to prepare a digital copy of their Portfolio to be uploaded as a Single File in PDF Format, size not exceeding 10MB.
The topics related to the theme poster and the questions related to the Statement of Purpose will be intimated to the candidates separately on their registered email IDs. The candidates would be given a week/window, within which they would have to upload the same.
MINIMUM QUALIFYING CRITERIA FOR M.DES & B.DES
NID Ahmedabad, NID Haryana*, NID Andhra Pradesh*, NID Assam* & NID Madhya Pradesh will consider the following minimum qualifying criteria for the candidates from the various categories to be eligible for final admission, only if their percentile score in Final Result is as under:

WEIGHTAGES FOR THE FINAL RESULT FOR BDES
In the light of the emergent pandemic situation and the uncertainties arising thereof, the DAT Main for the Admission Cycle 2021-22 will be held in Online Mode.
For Admissions 2021-22, the final marks of the candidate will be calculated based on the weightage of the marks obtained in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains as mentioned below:

Steps to check the NID Result 2021 (Prelims)
Step 1: Go to the official website https://admissions.nid.edu/NIDA2021/Default.aspx
Step 2: Under Important Dates, Click on “Login to view B.Des DAT Prelims Results”
Step 3: Log in using your Registered Email Address and Date of Birth to view your result
Step 4: Take a printout of the NID entrance exam result.
If any candidate is not satisfied with the score obtained in the NID Prelims paper, he or she can raise the request for re-evaluation and re-checking of the NID answer booklet. However, it may be noted that re-checking will be restricted to whether all answers in the answer booklet have been marked and whether there has been a mistake in totaling of marks in each question in part-II of the answer booklet and transferring the marks correctly on the cover page of the booklet.
