NID DAT Prelims 2021 Results to be declared in third week of June

The National Institute of Design (NID) will be releasing the NID DAT 2021 result for BDes and MDes in the third week of June 2021. The result of NID DAT 2021 will be available on the official website - admissions.nid.edu.

Students can check their NID DAT 2021 result by entering their registered email address, date of birth, and verification code.

The announcement of the NID DAT Prelims result was delayed due to unprecedented circumstances caused by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) was held on March 14 to enroll students in BDes and MDes courses.

NID DAT results will be announced in the form of a merit list. The merit list of the qualified students will be prepared as per the categories. NID DAT 2021 result will also mention the scores of the students.

Weightage of NID DAT prelims and mains 

NOTE: Candidates can submit the request for re-evaluating the NID DAT answer booklet for the BDes prelims exam online on official admissions.nid.edu.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation prevailing in the country and the uncertainties arising thereof, the DAT Mains for the Admission Cycle 2021-22 will be held in the ONLINE mode.

For B.Des candidates who would be shortlisted for DAT Mains

The candidates who are shortlisted for DAT Mains would be required to upload a theme poster on the topics (will be communicated separately ONLY to the shortlisted candidates) as a Single PDF file, size not exceeding 10 MB.

The poster can either be done manually in any media or scanned/photographed to be uploaded OR digitally on ONE A3 size sheet.

The candidates will also be required to prepare a digital copy of their Sample of Works/Portfolio to be uploaded as a Single File in PDF Format, size not exceeding 10MB.

For M.Des Candidates who would be shortlisted for DAT Mains

The candidates who get shortlisted for DAT Mains would be required to submit a  Statement of Purpose (SoP) within a maximum word limit of 300 words (questions will be communicated separately ONLY to the shortlisted candidates), which needs to be typed and uploaded as a Single PDF file, size not exceeding 2 MB.

The candidates are also required to prepare a digital copy of their Portfolio to be uploaded as a Single File in PDF Format, size not exceeding 10MB.

The topics related to the theme poster and the questions related to the Statement of Purpose will be intimated to the candidates separately on their registered email IDs. The candidates would be given a week/window, within which they would have to upload the same.

Steps to check NID DAT result 2021

In the third week of June, NID will announce the results of NID DAT 2021 in online mode. Steps to check the result of NID DAT 2021 below:

• First, visit the official website of NID DAT - admissions.nid.edu.
• Then, find and click on the link called “NID DAT Result 2021”.
• Enter the login credentials like email address, date of birth, and captcha code that shown on the screen.
• On submission of valid details, the NID DAT 2021 result will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the result of NID DAT 2021 and take the printout of the same for your reference.
