NEET 2021 Exam On September 12, Registration Begins from 13th July

NEET 2021, the national level medical entrance exam, will be held on September 12, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said today. Earlier, NEET 2021 was scheduled for August 1. Registrations will begin tomorrow on the official website, the minister added.

The NEET 2021 or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted by the NTA or National Testing agency for admissions into the MBBS, BDS and various other Medical and Allied Health Science undergraduate courses offered by various Universities and Colleges of India.

The NEET 2021 or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021 will be the only entrance test conducted in India through which admissions in all the seats of MBBS, BDS and other allied health science undergraduate courses will be granted by all the Medical, Dental and other Allied Health Universities and Colleges in India.

 

The following are the seats available under different quotas:

  1. All India Quota Seats
  2. State Government Quota Seats
  3. Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
  4. State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental /Ayurveda /Siddha /Unani /Homeopathy Colleges or any Private University
  5. Central Pool Quota Seats
  6. All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, in private unaided/aided minority / non- minority medical colleges shall also be filled on the basis of merit obtained in NEET(UG) – 2021.
  7. Indian Citizens/Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign (Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homeopathy) Institute need to qualify NEET 2021.
  8. The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical and Dental Courses.
  9. The counselling for admission to the seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.
  10. The result of NEET 2021 may be utilized by other entities of Central/State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.

*There can not be any other Entrance Examination conducted in India by any individual state, college, university etc for admissions into the Undergraduate MBBS, BDS and other related courses. NEET remains the only entrance examination for the MBBS and BDS course admissions in India.

NEET Application Form 2021 will be released online from tomorrow i.e. 13th July 2021 for registration by the NTA or National Testing Agency on the NEET 2021 official website: www.ntaneet.nic.in

The NEET Application Form 2021 can be filled online by following these steps:

  • Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using your or parents unique Email Id and Mobile No.
  • Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.
  • Step-3: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s latest Passport size Photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb), Post Card size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb - 300 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb), Left hand thumb impression (file size: 10 kb-50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.), Class X Passing Certificate (file size: 100 kb to 400 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. For photography, the focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background).
  • Step-4: Pay fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid safely for future reference. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
  • Download, save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.
  • All the 4 Steps can be done together in one go or at different times.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NTA website and also check their e-mails/SMS for latest updates.
  • Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 Post Card size (4”X6”) colored photographs with white background. The photographs are to be used for uploading on Online Application Form, for examination and also for Counselling/Admission.

Note:

  1. The final submission of Online Application Form will remain incomplete if step-3 and step-4 under are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  2. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.
  3. The entire application process of NEET (UG) 2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ by Hand/E-mail.

Age limit:

  • Candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December 2021. Upper age limit will be 25 years.

Nationality:

  • Indian National/NRIs/PIO/OCI and foreign national all are eligible to apply.

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with minimum 50% marks.
  • For SC/ST marks relaxation is 40% and for PwD marks relaxation is 45%.
