NATA 2021 First Test Result Announced today- Check here your Score

The Council of Architecture (CoA) released the National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2021 today. The NATA First Test 2021 Result have been declared on the NATA Official website: www.nata.in. Candidates can check NATA Result by entering email id and password. The result of NATA is announced in the form of a scorecard. It displays the marks obtained in the exam, total marks, status etc. Along with the result, the final answer key and question paper for NATA 2021 will also be uploaded. The result of the exam is prepared on the basis of the answer key.

Out of 14140 11431 have qualified the NATA First Test. Also, the qualifying marks have been reduced to 70 from 75.

NATA 2021 First Test Result

NATA 2021 first test was on April 10. The National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) is the national level architecture entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission to 5 years full-time Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs in institutes across the nation have to qualify NATA 2021.

To qualify NATA, candidates need 75 marks out of 200 marks. The candidates opting for both the first and second test must know that the separate scorecards will be issued by CoA for both tests. The scorecard of the second test will contain the marks of the 1st test as well. For candidates who will appear for both the tests, the best marks secured in either of the tests shall be taken as the valid score for admission into B.Arch course.

NATA 2021 score will be valid for the academic session 2021-22 only, which means the score of NATA 2021 cannot be used for admission in the next session. The record of the NATA- 2021 examination would be preserved only upto 90 days from the date of declaration of results. After that, candidates cannot seek any data regarding the exam from CoA.

After qualifying NATA, the candidates are required to apply with their scorecard to various institutes approved by the Council that provide BArch courses all over the country. The actual admissions shall be carried out only by the concerned competent admission / counseling authorities of the respective states/universities/institutions, according to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Council.

For those questions which have multiple answers, the answers and their weightage as fixed by the Council shall be treated as final. There will be no provision for post-publication scrutiny and /or review and any request after the publication of the result will not be entertained.

The NATA Result Sheet will display the following:

1. Marks obtained in each Part of the exam and out of 200

2. Pass/Fail

Qualifying marks for NATA 2021 will be based on the following rules:

1. A minimum of 32 marks out of 125 marks must be secured in Part A (approximately 25%)

2. A minimum of 18 marks out of 75 marks must be secured in Part B (approximately 25%)

3. Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.

A Candidate will not qualify in NATA 2021 unless he/she satisfy all three conditions mentioned above.

The exam date for NATA 2021 second test is June 12. NATA Application Form 2021 has been released at www.nata.in on March 5, 2021. The closing date of NATA 2021 registration for the second attempt is May 30.

Results will be available in the website www.nata.in which will be announced in various electronic/printing media before declaration of results.

Second session for examination may be considered in the event of any restrictions imposed by the Government on the number of candidates appearing in a single session due to social distancing norms owing to pandemic Covid-19.

 The session during which the candidate will take the test will be allotted by the Council and Centre allotment will be done on the basis of choice provided by the candidate in the application form for preferred city for taking examination. The candidates need to indicate their preference for city of examination at their respective login accounts at NATA portal www.nata.in

The aptitude test will comprise of questions that could be of the Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ).

The questions will carry either 1 mark,2 marks or 3 marks and 125 questions have to be answered in 180 minutes.The medium of Aptitude test will be the English language.

The aptitude of the candidate will be assessed using some or all of the following techniques:

• Diagrammatic Reasoning – Tests the ability of logical reasoning, using diagrams and scenarios

• Numerical Reasoning – Tests mathematical ability through simple problems

• Verbal Reasoning – Assesses the ability to assess verbal logic.

• Inductive Reasoning – Tests the ability to see patterns and analyse given data

• Situational Judgment – Tests problem-solving ability.

• Logical Reasoning – Tests ability to recognise patterns, sequences or relationships between shapes and

imagery.

• Abstract Reasoning – Will assess general knowledge, and ability to utilise knowledge in new situations.

Questions could be asked in various topics that assess candidates on basic concepts in mathematics, physics and geometry, language and interpretation, elements and principles of design, aesthetic sensitivity, colour theory, lateral thinking and logical reasoning, visual perception and cognition, graphics and imagery, building anatomy and architectural vocabulary, basic techniques of building construction and knowledge of material, general knowledge and current affairs, etc. and are may not be limited to those outlined.

Eligibility Criteria for Candidate :

Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+ 3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2021. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2021.

QUALIFYING IN NATA- 2021 DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A RIGHT/ GUARANTEE IN FAVOUR OF THE CANDIDATE FOR ADMISSION TO ANY ARCHITECTURE COURSE UNLESS THE CANDIDATE HAS FULFILLED ALL THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED BY RESPECTIVE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ELIGIBILIY CRITERIA LAID DOWN BY THE COUNCIL

Admission to First year of B.Arch. Program The eligibility for admission to 1st year of 5-year B.Arch. Degree program for the academic session 2021- 2022 shall be as per CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020 or as may be amended by the Central Government. The present eligibility in terms of Regulations, 2020 is as under:

No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50 per cent. Aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent. marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 per cent. marks in aggregate.

Candidates may note that no direct lateral admission is allowed at any year/semester/stage of B.Arch.course based on any qualification.

Application Procedure

The second NATA 2021 test shall be held on June 12, 2021.

Appearing in second test is not mandatory and is purely at the discretion of the applicants. Candidates can register themselves either for first test or second test OR for both by filling in the application form appropriately.

The registration window for the second test will open for 14 days after the announcement of results of the test held on the first date. Candidates opting to appear in both the first and second test may note that they will be issued with the separate score card for each test. The score card for Second test shall contain the marks secured in First & Second Test. The best marks secured in either of the Tests shall be taken as the valid score for admission to B.Arch. Course.Application is to be filled up ONLINE at the NATA portal of www.nata.in

Candidates need to visit the portal and CLICK the requisite link ONLINE APPLICATION NATA– 2021 and thereafter will be directed to the actual application form. The form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled up are categorized in different sub-sections. The fields super-scribed with  MUST be filled up as they are MANDATORY, otherwise the application will NOT get submitted.
