MHT CET 2021 Registration Begins | Last Date to apply July 7, Check for direct link

The entrance exam is held for admission to the first year of Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and other professional programs at participating institutions. Earlier, Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant mentioned that the exam is likely to be held by July end or August.

“Registration for the MHT-CET 2021 Entrance Examination for the first year Engineering / Technology, Pharmacology and Agricultural Education for the academic year 2021-22 will start today from 8^th June to 7^th July,” Mr. Samant tweeted.

For other undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the MHT CET exam details will be announced separately, the minister added.

According to official information, the registration process was scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm. However, the official website has crashed due to heavy traffic.

Along with the application forms, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, or CET Cell, Maharashtra, which conducts the exam, is expected to release the information bulletin, mentioning eligibility criteria and other details.

As per last year’s exam pattern, the exam is held based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education syllabus.

Twenty percent weightage is given to the Class 11 syllabus and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12 syllabus of the Maharashtra board.

MHT CET is held for three papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics), Paper 2 (Physics, Chemistry), and Paper 3 (Biology). It will consist of three question papers of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each paper will be of 100 marks.

1. Visit the website for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, https://mhtcet2021.mahacet.org/StaticPages/HomePage
2. Click on the “New Registration” button available on the homepage.

1. Fill in the required details and click on submit.
2. Enter the application number and password to fill the MHT CET 2021 application form.
3. Pay the application fee as applicable through online mode and click on submit.
4. Take a print of the MHT CET 2021 application form for any future reference.

Students should use their active E-mail ID and Mobile Number for the MHT CET 2021 registration. Students must keep their E-mail ID and Mobile Number active until the CET and Centralized Admission process is over.

While applying for the MHT CET 2021 application, the students under unreserved categories will have to pay Rs 800 online and for students belonging to reserved categories, the MHT CET application fee is Rs 600.

Students are advised to go through the instructions shared on the official website thoroughly before starting the MHT CET 2021 registration process.

The tentative schedule of CET is not announced this year. “Due to Pandemic Covid-19 CETs in Academic Year 2020-2021 were delayed and so was the Centralized Admission Process of the following professional Courses of Higher Education. As a result, the CET Process of Academic Year 2021-22 is also delayed. CET CELL will publish the Notice once the dates of CET Process are finalized," the official notice read.

Since the exam filing is taking place in a completely online form, CET-CEll has said that it will “try to" set up SETU Centres for assisting candidates in online form filling and document uploading at every district, CET Cell will also try to train the personnel at the center to assist students.
