JEE Main April Session Postponed amid rising Covid-19 Cases
New Delhi: Amid rising COvid-19 cases the JEE Main 2021 April Session is postponed, the new dates of the examination will be declared later. The News of the same was declared by the Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal today on Twitter and the Public Notice for the same has also been displayed on the JEE Main Official website. As per the Public Notice, it is declared that looking at the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries, it has been decided to postpone the JEE (Main) – 2021 April Session. The revised dates for the JEE (Main) – 2021 April session will be announced later on and at least 15 days before the examination.
In the meantime, NTA has advised the candidates to use this time to prepare themselves better for the examination. They can also take practice ( full length/ chapter wise) tests on the NTA Abhyas App from the comfort of their homes. They are also advised to keep visiting the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/) for the latest updates. Earlier this year till now the two sessions of JEE Main 2021 have already been conducted in February and March respectively. Due to Covid-19 the Education Ministry and NTA had decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 Four times to give multiple chances to students, also there was a change in Exam Pattern in which the candidates have option of attempting 5 of the 10 questions asked in the Section B of all three subjects namely: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics making it still a 75 Questions Paper but students can choose these 75 questions out of the total 90 questions.
The Total candidates who appeared in JEE Main February and March session was 620978 and 556248 respectively. The new JEE Main Exam Pattern for Paper 1- B.E/B.Tech is as follows:
