JEE Main 2021 Third Session Day 2 Concluded

The National Test Agency (NTA) is going to hold session 3 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021). The session of JEE Main 2021 exam will be held over a period of 4 days I.e. 20,22,25 & 27. Today  2nd day was conducted of third session for JEE Main. The exam  will be held as a computer-based test (CBT), for around 7.09 lakh candidates. The agency will conduct the exam throughout India, across 334 cities and 828 centres.

Students have said that the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Based on students' reactions, JEE Main 2021 Physics question paper had around 15 to 16 questions from the Class 11th syllabus. The Chemistry section was moderate to difficult. 4 questions were asked from ionic and chemical equilibrium.

Keeping in mind the safety of students and smooth conduct of the examination, NTA has issued detailed exam guidelines, COVID-19 precautions and dress code details. Along with the JEE Main 2021 admit card, students have to carry a valid photo ID card and the self-declaration undertaking.

According to the schedule released by the NTA, the JEE Main 2021 exam which will be starting from today, will be held in  morning shift, would commence from 9 AM to 12 PM

With the pandemic situation still quite serious, the agency has released a detailed set of guidelines and precautionary measures to ensure safety of students and smooth conduct of the examination. The key among them are as follows:

  • Shoes with Thick Soles and Garments with Large Buttons are not allowed
  • The seating area of the exam halls to be thoroughly sanitized before start of the new shift
  • All equipment and components including monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk, and chair and all All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc, to be disinfected thoroughly
  • Social distancing guidelines to be implemented thoroughly with students required to maintain minimum of 6-feet distance between them at all times
  • Queue manager/ropes and Floor Marks will be arranged outside the center, follow the instructions provided by center staff.
  • 3-Ply Face Masks will be provided to the students at the exam hall which will have to used by the students compulsorily during the examination. The candidate will be required to remove the mask worn by him/ her from home and use the mask provided at the center only.
  • Lab numbers will not be displayed outside the center to avoid any crowding at any one place in any situation.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at entry and inside the exam venue at various places for candidates and center staff to use.

JEE Main 2021: Things to keep in mind during Exam

  • JEE Mains 2021 conducted from July 20, Candidates who have registered for the exam must make sure that they have downloaded their JEE Main 2021 admit cards. Those who are unable to download their admit card can contact the helpline number- 0120-6895200 or mail at [email protected]. Candidates will not be allowed to take the exam without admit card. They should take a print-out of the admit card and carry it with them to the exam center. A valid photo-ID proof issued by any government body (PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card, etc) and two passport size photos should also be brought.
  • Read the important instructions and Covid-19 related guidelines mentioned in the admit card.
  • Download the self-declaration undertaking form that is attached with the admit card. Take its print out and fill it as per requirement. The self-declaration form is a must to declare that they have not been in contact with any Covid infected persons and whether they have or not travelled outside the city in the last two weeks.
  • Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of the sheet and must return the sheets and Admit Card to the Invigilator, before leaving the Examination Hall/Room

JEE Main Marking Scheme for Paper 1 is-

For MCQs - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer

For answer with a numeric value - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
