JEE Main 2021 March session Day 3 (Shift 1 & 2)  Conducted Today

On the third and final day of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2021 March , the engineering admission test is being held for BE, BTech aspirants. The paper will be held in two shifts.

This is the second session of the engineering entrance examination and it is being conducted at 792 centres. According to data shared by the National Testing Agency (NTA), a total number of 6,19,638 candidates have registered for the examination this year. The exam will be held in two more shifts, in April and May. During the May session, the exam will be held again for BArch and BPlanning aspirants

Most students said that the Shift 1 paper was relatively easy. The Chemistry section in the March session was tougher than the February session. 

Gaurav whose paper was in shift 1 today said that paper was Moderately easy,  for him Mathematics paper was a bit lengthy compare to physics and chemistry.

Priyansh, a student from Delhi said that the Mathematics paper was quite satisfactory. He said that Maths was time-consuming, the Chemistry paper was a bit challenging and theoretical and Physics was easy. The numerical questions were a good attempt. 

JEE Main March 18 Chemistry paper was the easiest among the three. Most of the questions asked in the Chemistry paper were theoretically based. The mathematics paper was lengthy, however doable. More questions were asked from Circle. Physics questions were theory-based.

Physics

  • 12 questions were easy, 10 moderate and 9 were difficult.
  • Overall difficulty was moderate. 
  • Topics asked were logic gates, diode, atoms and nuclei, de-broglie's equation and friction.

Chemistry

  • Chemistry section contained 17 easy questions, 10 average and 3 tough. 
  • JEE Main 2021 Chemistry topics included polymers, biomolecules, phenols and ethers, solution and Faraday laws.
  • Overall the section can be regarded as easy.

Mathematics

  • Mathematics was lengthy, but doable
  • 12 easy questions, 8 average and 10 difficult questions
  • Difficulty level was moderate
  • Questions from topics including LDE, AGP, Reasoning

JEE Main 2021 March session Exam Day 3  (Shift 1 & 2)  were conducted today , As per the official date sheet, the JEE Main 2021 Engineering Entrance exam. The March session of JEE Main 2021 exam will be held over a period of 3 days.  Keeping in mind the safety of students and smooth conduct of the examination, NTA has issued detailed exam guidelines, COVID-19 precautions and dress code details. According to tentative estimates, around 6.1 lakh students have registered themselves to appear for the JEE Main 2021 March Exam this year.

The National Testing Agency will be conducting the JEE (Main) March 2021 exams in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at different centres located in 334 cities throughout the country.

Along with the JEE Main 2021 admit card, students have to carry a valid photo ID card and the self-declaration undertaking.

According to the schedule released by the NTA, the JEE Main 2021 exam which will be starting from today, will be held in two shifts i.e. morning and afternoon shift. The morning shift would commence from 9 AM to 12 PM while the evening shift would operate from 3 PM to 6 PM.

With the pandemic situation still quite serious, the agency has released a detailed set of guidelines and precautionary measures to ensure safety of students and smooth conduct of the examination. The key among them are as follows:

  • Shoes with Thick Soles and Garments with Large Buttons are not allowed
  • The seating area of the exam halls to be thoroughly sanitized before start of the new shift
  • All equipment and components including monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk, and chair and all All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc, to be disinfected thoroughly
  • Social distancing guidelines to be implemented thoroughly with students required to maintain minimum of 6-feet distance between them at all times
  • Queue manager/ropes and Floor Marks will be arranged outside the center, follow the instructions provided by center staff.
  • 3-Ply Face Masks will be provided to the students at the exam hall which will have to used by the students compulsorily during the examination. The candidate will be required to remove the mask worn by him/ her from home and use the mask provided at the center only.
  • Lab numbers will not be displayed outside the center to avoid any crowding at any one place in any situation.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at entry and inside the exam venue at various places for candidates and center staff to use.

JEE Main 2021: Things to keep in mind during Exam

  • JEE Mains 2021 will be held from March 16 to 18. Candidates who have registered for the exam must make sure that they have downloaded their JEE Main 2021 admit cards. Those who are unable to download their admit card can contact the helpline number- 0120-6895200 or mail at [email protected]. Candidates will not be allowed to take the exam without admit card. They should take a print-out of the admit card and carry it with them to the exam center. A valid photo-ID proof issued by any government body (PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card, etc) and two passport size photos should also be brought.
  • Read the important instructions and Covid-19 related guidelines mentioned in the admit card.
  • Download the self-declaration undertaking form that is attached with the admit card. Take its print out and fill it as per requirement. The self-declaration form is a must to declare that they have not been in contact with any Covid infected persons and whether they have or not travelled outside the city in the last two weeks.
  • Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of the sheet and must return the sheets and Admit Card to the Invigilator, before leaving the Examination Hall/Room.

The JEE Main BArch Paper held for a total of 400 marks will have Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing section and JEE Main BPlanning paper has Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning-based questions for a total of 400 marks.

The exam pattern of JEE Main 2021 is divided into JEE Paper 1 pattern for B.Tech and JEE Paper 2 pattern for B. Arch and B. Planning. As per JEE Main exam pattern 2021, each subject will have 20 MCQs and 10 Numerical Value Questions and out of 10 only 5 have to be done. According to the JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, both the papers will be conducted in online mode except for the Drawing test for B.Arch
