Jammu and Kashmir to contribute 15% Seats in NEET All India Quota 

The Jammu and Kashmir Board Of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has published the roll number-wise list of candidates of union territories (UTs) of J-K, Ladakh who have appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2022). Along with this the JKBOPEE NEET merit list 2022, the board has announced that it has decided to contribute 15% seats for All India Quota (AIQ).

The ministry of health and family welfare, Government of India, has provided the result of candidates belonging to the UTs of J-K, Ladakh, who have appeared in the NEET, to the JKBOPEE on September 26, 2022.

The board informed candidates that it will notify the schedule for online and offline registration of eligible candidates separately on the official website, https://www.jkbopee.gov.in Candidates who appeared in NEET UG 2022 from other states and belong to JK, Ladakh will have to submit all relevant documents at JKBOPEE Office Jammu or Srinagar physically up to October 3 by 4 PM.

A list of 37,013 J-K candidates and their NEET UG 2022 scores have been uploaded on the official website. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the national medical entrance exam NEET UG 2022 for admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses July 17 and declared NEET results 2022 on September 7.

The official notice read, “It is for the information of the eligible candidates that from the current year (2022) the Government of J-K has decided to contribute 15% seats for All India Quota as per the above referred letters.”

J&K NEET counselling 2022: Step-wise procedure

Before the commencement of the J&K MBBS 2022 counselling, a mock exercise will be conducted by authorities to familiarise applicants with the process of the same.

Only registered medical aspirants included in the state merit list will be eligible to participate in the J&K MBBS counselling process. Candidates can go through the steps for J&K NEET counselling 2022 below.

Step 1: Log in

Candidates will have to login into the applicant portal by using their login credentials which were earlier used while filling the application form of J&K MBBS 2022.

Step 2: Filling of preferences in J&K NEET counselling 2022

Candidates must fill the choices of preferences of courses and colleges.

Medical aspirants are advised to choose as many options as they want while filling the preferences in the counselling process of J&K NEET MBBS.

Candidates will also be provided with the option of deleting and rearranging the choices which they have made.

It is mandatory for applicants to fill at least one preference discipline/college during the choice filling of J&K MBBS counselling 2022 failing to which candidates will not be allowed to participate in the further admission process.

Step 3: Result of J&K MBBS counselling

The authority will publish the result of J&K MBBS counselling 2022 based on the preferences of courses and colleges filled, available seats and reservation criteria. After completion of every round of counselling, the result for each J&K MBBS 2022 counselling will be published separately. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the counselling result of J&K MBBS for future use.

Step 4: Reporting at the allotted colleges

Candidates who will be allotted seats through J&K MBBS counselling 2022 will have to report to the designated colleges within the given time duration with all the relevant documents to proceed further in the admission process. Candidates failing to report within the due dates will not be considered eligible for the further J&K MBBS/BDS admission process.
