IIIT Hyderabad starts applications for UGEE 2021 | Last Date to apply May 10 | UGEE Exam on June 2

IIITH Undergraduate Entrance Examination (UGEE) 2021 will be organized by the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad followed by an interview. 

The UGEE 2021 or Undergraduate Entrance Exam 2021 is conducted by IIIT Hyderabad for admissions into its Dual Degree courses after class 12^th. The UGEE 2021 will be conducted by IIIT Hyderabad on 2nd June 2021 and the Application for the same is available online from 22nd March on its official website: https://ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in/ . The last date to apply for UGEE 2021 is May 10.

IIIT offers admission to five dual degree courses like Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECD), Computer Science and Engineering (CSD), Computer Science (CSD), Computational Linguistics (CLD), Computational Natural Sciences (CND), Computing and Human Sciences (CHD).

The UGEE will be a 3 hours Computer Based Test divided into two sections namely: Section 1: SUPR or Subject Proficiency test and Section 2: REAP or Research Aptitude. Section 1 and Section 2 are of 60 minutes and 120 minutes duration respectively.

The UGEE Eligibility Criteria 2021 in detail are as follows: 

Qualification:

Candidate must have passed class 12^th or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University

Minimum Marks Requirement:

Candidates need to secure at least 60% marks in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.

Candidates shortlisted from this exam will have to clear an interview to gain admission. The decision on the final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance

Step 1 - Registration

Visit the official website at https://ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in/  Here, select the mode of admission UGEE-CLD out of all the modes including - ECD, CND, and CLD programs/NK/NTSE or KVPY, Olympiad, SPEC, DASA UG, and JEE Main mode. After clicking on the mode to UGEE- CLD candidates will get the IIIT Hyderabad application form link as ‘Click here to apply'. Candidates have to click on the link to start with registration in the required mode. They will have to provide the basic details under the registration process.

Step 2 - IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Application Form

Candidates done with the registration process will have to fill in the IIITH application form. The details to be entered shall vary depending upon the mode which the candidate is applying through as explained below:

• UGEE, SPEC, Olympiad/ KVPY, LEEE Mode - Candidates will have to provide all the personal and academic details. They will also have to upload scanned copies of certain documents including class 10 and 12 marks sheets, NTSE or KVPY certificates along with the passport-sized photograph of the candidate.
• JEE Main Mode - While filling the IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech application form through JEE Main mode, candidates will have to provide the basic academic details including JEE Main roll number and the rank obtained in the exam.
• DASA UG Admission Mode - Candidates applying for undergraduate engineering courses at IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech admissions through DASA will have to upload proof of having studied classes 11 and 12 (or equivalent examination) outside India or the proof of holding a foreign passport.

Step 3 - IIITH B.Tech Application Fee

After providing all the necessary details in IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech application form, candidates will be required to pay the requisite application fee in online mode. Application Fee: INR 2000/- (Non-refundable)

Step 4 - Final Submission

After successful payment of the application fee for IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech admission, candidates will have to confirm their application form and then duly submit the same. Candidates should assure to submit the IIITH B.Tech 2021 application form before the last dates of their respective mode of application.
