IGRUA is a common entrance exam conducted by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademy (IGRUA) for admission in the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course and B.Sc (Aviation) degree. Students who want to get admitted to Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi need to appear for the IGRUA entrance exam. Students who are going for the examination will have to appear for a written test which will be followed by the interview round. The written test will include questions from current affairs, English, mathematics, and physics.

IGRUA Entrance Exam 2021 Key Points:

The IGRUA Entrance Exam Application Form 2021 has been released online on the IGRUA official website: www.igrua.gov.in . The Application Form will be available on the IGRUA Official Website till 17th July 2021 for submitting the Application via Bank Challan and 21st July, 2021 via online mode.

The IGRUA Entrance Exam Application Form 2021 can be accessed from the IGRUA Official website from the link “IGRUA Entrance” displayed on the IGRUA Official website: www.igrua.gov.in .

The Application Fee for IGRUA Entrance Exam 2021 will be ₹12000 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and there will be no fee charged from the SC & ST candidates.

It is to be paid either through internet banking, debit, or credit cards or through Bank Challan payable at any branch of State Bank of India as per instructions for Fee Deposit.

Important Dates for IGRUA 2021

IGRUA offers Ab-initio to CPL Course for the issue of CPL with Multi-engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-engine Aircraft. Shortlisted candidates in Final Merit shall be inducted in Four batches starting January 2022 onwards.

IGRUA 2021 Eligibility :

Note:-

1. In case SC/ST/EWS and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written-test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.
2. Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree, being conducted simultaneously with CPL Course. The duration of this course will be 03 years.
3. All Candidates must comply with eligibility criteria by the given date for the Interview / Aptitude Test.

Medical: Selected candidates may join with class II medical, however, they will have to clear & submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate subsequently. 

Training fee: Rs. 45 Lacs payable in four quarterly installments in one year. An additional expenditure of about Rs. 3 Lac towards the cost of Uniform, Study Material, Navigation Computer, Head Phones, etc. The training fee and other expenditures are the same for all category candidates.

Boarding & Lodging: Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Messing and hostel accommodation within the campus (on a twin sharing basis), is provided. (Charges approximately Rs. 12,000/- per month).

Selection: ONLINE Written Test, Viva/Interview, and Pilot Aptitude Test in the following manner:-

• Written Test:

At allotted centers on 21 August 2021 (Saturday).

Examination Centers: Please check Options for centers. Option for three centers is to be made giving first, second and third choice. IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any Center if the numbers of Applicants for the Center are inadequate.

Syllabus for Written Test: General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (10+2 level objective type questions only and No negative marking)

Qualifying Marks in Written Test: The cutoff marks for SC/ST/EWS/OBC candidates will be 5% less than the cut-off marks secured by the last candidate in the General category.

• Interview / Viva: All shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the following documents in original as well as one photocopy of each document at the time of interview (starting from 05 October 2021, Tuesday onwards)

1. Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )
2. 10th Mark sheet
3. 10+2 Mark sheet
4. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates issued within last one year.
5. A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to the Creamy layer.
6. A Certificate from an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar that the candidate falls under the EWS category.
7. Admit Card Downloaded for Written Test

• Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test:

- Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for final selection.

- No relaxation criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/EWS/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude/Psychometric Test.

• Commitment Money: All Selected Candidates including SC / ST / EWS / OBC will be required to pay commitment money of Rs. 3 Lacs (non-refundable but adjustable against the total fee) by 13 December 2021 to secure their seat on a first come first serve basis.

Before filling up the Online Application Form, the Candidate should be ready with the following:-

a) Recent Scanned Colored Photograph in JPG/JPEG format only ( file size 80KB max )

b) Scanned Signatures ( file size 80KB max )

c) A valid E-mail id and

d) Mobile Number E-Mail id and Mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of the result. Important information during the Entrance process will be conveyed on registered E-Mail / Mobile / website.
