CSEET 2023 January Session Conducted

CSEET for the January session was conducted on 7th January, 2023 by ICSI (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India) is the governing body for The Company secretary course in India. Students less than 26 years of age can apply for this course with any stream (Excluding Fine Arts).

.The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has now eliminated the Foundation Programme and has introduced a Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test or CSEET to directly enter into the executive programme

In view of the Remote Proctored mode, the Viva Voce portion stands removed for the CSEET to be held on 7th january 2023. The computer based MCQ portion of the test forming part of CSEET shall remain the same as per the existing structure of CSEET. All the four papers will carry 50 marks each. Accordingly, Paper-4 will also carry 50 marks in all, which will contain questions on Current Affairs, Presentation & Communication Skills.

Candidates also attempted a mock test of around 1 hour. Mock test. The mock test will be conducted for candidates to familiarize themselves with the remote proctoring process. Detailed information about appearing in the mock test shall be sent to candidates separately.

The candidates appearing in CSEET shall be remotely proctored, from the control room of the Institute, as per details given below:

1. Download and installation of SEBLite (Safe Exam Browser using the link sent to the candidates through email preferable before the Mock. (SEBLite shall not be uninstalled till completion of CSEET )

2.. Login using the credentials by the candidates as sent to them by email and SMS before the Test.

3.. At the beginning of each session, the candidate undergoes an identity verification at 2 levels,

Level 1 : Capture of facial photo. During the Test, the AI tool constantly monitors the picture of the candidate taking the Test with the facial photo captured initially for any mismatch. In case of any mismatch, the system will capture the anomaly and notification to candidate / live proctor is also instantly displayed.

Level 2 : Candidate will need to display Admit Card and Valid ID Proof (PAN / Aadhar / Any other valid Govt. Approved ID) in orginal. Proctor will instruct the candidate to display the Admit Card / ID after the logging in to the Test.

Candidate has to ensure that following technical requirements are available at his Desktop /Laptop (mobile/ tablet is not allowed) for appearing in CSEET:

1. Operating System – ONLY WINDOWS – 7/8/8.1/10.

2. Processor: Minimum 2 cores

3. RAM: 2 GB or above

4. Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 and Above

5. Browser - Chrome – Download latest from https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/chrome/

6. Web camera: Resolution 640 x 480, 15 frames per second (fps)

7. Microphone: Any Model (External or Internal)

8. Network bandwidth: 512 Kbps preferred / minimum

 9. .Net Framework – v4.5.2 – download from

10. Uninterrupted internet access with min 512 Kbps

11. Antivirus – ‘any make’ to be disabled – can be re- installed post examination

12. Enable web cam and mic under Chrome settings – Extensions

13. Disable ad blocker/pop up blocker under Chrome Extensions

15. Candidate to have administrative privileges on the laptop/desktop to enable installation/uninstallations.

16. Uninterrupted power supply to run the system continuously during the test.

ICSI CSEET May session 2023 – Documents required

Before proceeding to CSEET Registration form please make sure that you are ready with the softcopy of the documents mentioned below :

  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate
  • DOB certificate (10th pass certificate)
  • Admit card/Hall ticket for 10+2 Examinations (if appearing)
  • 10+2 pass certificate/mark sheet
  • Category certificate (for availing fee concession)
  • Identify proof (Aadhar card/ passport /voter ID /pan card / driving lichens/ration card)

 

Guidelines should be followed :

  • All files should be present in one of the following formats (JPG,jpeg, png,GIF,BMP,pdf)
  • The maximum allowed file size is 2 MB
  • File size of student photo should be between 20 Kb to 50 Kb
  • File size of student signature should be between 10 Kb to 20 Kb.

Once the application  fees have been paid and the status for its reflected in the applicant account, Candidates have to cross check the details entered on the form and submit it online only. Also take printouts of the submitted application form for future references.

To become a Company Secretary a student has to go through the following process:

  • Pass class 10+2 or its equivalent.
  • Clear CSEET
  • Enroll in the Executive programme on ICSI or Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
  • Complete the examinations of the Executive Programme and enroll into the professional programme at ICSI.
  • Complete the examinations of subjects of Professional Programme and complete the required amount of Training for getting the CS membership.
  • After completion of the required training and successfully clearing the Professional Programme examinations, enroll as a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or ICSI and become a registered CS or Company secretary.
