The Consortium of National Law Universities has published the second CLAT 2024 merit list on January 8, 2024 The consortium has published the CLAT merit list in online mode on its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The authorities have declared the merit list of CLAT 2024 for each participating NLUs seperately. This is the second CLAT seat allotment and candidates have to complete the admission formalities and pay the required fees. The third CLAT 2024 merit list is scheduled to announced on January 22, 2024.

Candidates who are included in the merit list would be eligible to participate in the CLAT counselling and obtain seat allotment. The consortium would declare CLAT UG and PG merit list separately. It had earlier published the first round of CLAT 2024 merit list on December 26, 2023. It must be noted that the CLAT merit list is only provisional. Shortlisted candidates are required to pay the fees and complete other admission formalities to obtain admission. Earlier, the Consortium had started the CLAT counselling 2024 registration on December 11 a day after announcing the CLAT result. The registration for CLAT 2024 counselling has been closed on December 20. The Common Law Admission Test is accepted by 23 NLUs and over 60 law schools across the country. This year, CLAT 2024 was conducted on December 3 in offline mode.

How to Download CLAT Merit List 2024?

The CLAT merit list is published on the official website of the consortium. Candidates can download the merit list of CLAT 2024 by following the steps below:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of the CLAT 2024.

• Step 2: Click on the exam title “CLAT 2024”

• Step 3: On that page, students can find the merit list for both UG and PG for the year 2024

• Step 4: Students can then check the rankings with their respective Roll No./Registration No

Candidates can find the following information in the merit list of CLAT 2024:

• All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates (category-wise)

• Admit card number

• Reservation category

• College allotment

CLAT 2024 Tie Breaker Rule

There may be a situation in the marks obtained by two or more candidates are the same. The following tiebreaker rule will be applied if two or more candidates have obtained the same marks in CLAT 2024.

• The candidate who scores higher marks in legal reasoning will be ranked higher.

• If the tie does not break, then the senior candidate in terms of age will be given a higher rank.

• If the tie still persists, then computerised lots will be drawn.
