The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) has announced the third seat allotment for CLAT 2023 on May 25. Candidates have been shortlisted for seat allotment of CLAT 2023 based on the CLAT merit list and admission preferences. The seat allotment status can be checked by logging into the candidate’s registered account. The direct link to download CLAT 2023 seat allotment is given in this article below. The CLAT 2023 allotment list is announced in five rounds, candidates can either accept the seat or apply for an upgrade or exit the admission process of CLAT 2023. In the last round of CLAT seat allotment 2023, candidates will not have the option to upgrade to colleges. They can either accept or exit from the CLAT counselling 2023. Candidates should be aware of the CLAT allotment list 2023 and the admission process of National Law Universities (NLU).

• Name of the candidates shortlisted for admission

• All India rank of the shortlisted candidates

• Category – vertical and horizontal

• Admit card number and application number of such candidates

What After CLAT 2023 Seat Allotment Results?

After publication of results for CLAT allotment candidates can choose one of the following

Accepting CLAT 2023 Allotment: Candidates can accept their allotted seats. If they accept their allotment, candidates will not be considered for further allotments and will be required to pay the fees at this point of time.

Apply for upgrade: The upgrade option is available to those candidates who are not interested in the NLU allotted to them. It allows the candidate to choose any other national law university from the NLU preference given by him/her. If you want to apply for an upgrade, then you will also have to pay the NLU fees to the allotted university and submit the documents.

Exiting CLAT 2023 Allotments: Candidates can choose to reject and exit from CLAT 2023 Seat Allotment lists. If they choose to do that, they will not be considered for any further allotments.

Candidates who accept the allotment or apply for upgrade will have to complete the admission process by submitting their documents and course fee as prescribed by the allotted university.

NLU Course Fee Payment

Candidates should contact the allotted university for fee payment details. The fee structure for NLUs is specified by each NLU separately. However, the CLAT counselling registration fee is also adjusted with the course fee.

Candidates after submitting the fees must upload the documents on the website of the consortium.

Candidates who have paid the requisite fee and uploaded the documents will be considered for admission; others will not be considered eligible.

CLAT Seat Allotment – Important Points to Remember

If the university has rejected the seat allotted to a candidate in the previous list, they can check the status of the same in their login page. If the seat has been rejected, then contact the university for further details.

If the candidates have been allotted a seat and still want to exit the CLAT admission process they can do so by clicking the exit button. But once candidates exit from the admission process they will not be able to participate again in any further seat allotments.

Admission for mop up rounds for CLAT Seat Allotment 2023

If some seats are left vacant in seat allotment for CLAT 2023 there will be a mop-up round where the 23 NLUs will fill the vacant seats. In case all the seats are filled there will be no mop up rounds. Candidates left out in the five rounds of CLAT seat allotment can apply in the mop-up round.
