The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT 2023 answer key on December 18, 2022. The CLAT objection submission window for CLAT answer key has also opened on December 19, at 9 am. Candidates can download the CLAT 2023 answer key online from and raise their objections from their registered accounts. Based on the objections raised by the consortium, the final answer key of CLAT 2023 will be published on December 24, 2022. How to Calculate Marks using CLAT 2023 Answer Key?

Candidates can use the official marking scheme to calculate their marks in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). As per the exam pattern of CLAT 2023, each question carries one mark, and each incorrect answer will invite a penalty of -0.25 marks.

CLAT marks = Total number of correct answers - (Total number of incorrect answers X 0.25)

100 correction answers and 25 incorrect attempts - CLAT marks = 100 - (20 X 0.25) = 96 marks

What is a good score in CLAT 2023?

By using the provisional answer key, candidates can compare their marks with the previous year's CLAT cut offs to know their chances of admission to national law universities. Candidates looking for admission to the top three or four NLUs should score at least 100-105 marks. Whereas, for the top 5-6 NLUs. a good score in CLAT 2023 should be 95+.

The provisional answer key may have some incorrect answers or discrepancies. Therefore, candidates are given an opportunity to raise objections against the provisional key. Candidates who want to raise objections can use the CLAT examination portal to submit their requests.

• Click on the raise objection link

• Select the question number and enter details related to the objection

• Click on submit option and make payment
