Check here the CBSE Notification for Class 10th and 12th Board Examination, Practical and Internal Examinations:

On Wednesday, Union Education Minister Pokhriyal exclusively appeared on a leading news channel and said that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Examinations 2021 will not be conducted online and will be held in offline mode. He said the students were looking forward to the CBSE Board Exams and during the current times of difficulties, the dates have been decided after consulting several parents, teachers and students.

“Our communication with other ministries is going on continuously. Covid-19 has spread all over the world. During this time, we have done a lot of work online but our goal is to reach students. The idea is to conduct examinations in the same way as before; we are not considering conducting exams online.”

The Education Minister also said that the examination will be held as per guidelines of Ministry of Homes Affairs and Health Ministry. “Ensuring the safety of students will be our first priority” he said.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) generally conducts class 10th and 12th board exams in February and March. However, this was not possible due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, CBSE in one of its circular said, “CBSE is well aware of the condition of students and parents in the time of pandemic and, therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken by the CBSE that will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time through Board website.”

As per reports, the question papers will also see several changes in 2021, that is, there will be more application-based and objective-based questions.

On 16th December 2020, the schedule for the JEE Main Examination was announced and application process started thereafter. The Education Minister said “We have examined the suggestions received from students and it has been decided that JEE Main will be held in four sessions in February, March, April and May. The first session will be held from 23-26 February and the results will be declared five days after the last exam.”

Though the education ministry had confirmed that exams will not be postponed or cancelled because of the pandemic, students across the country were concerned as the CBSE had not released any date sheets till the end of 2020.
