AILET 2022 RESULT DECLARED

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has released the result of All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2022 for BA LLB (Honours) programme on July 1. Applicants can download their results from the official website www.nationallawuniversitydelhi.in

The Online Counselling for the B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) will commence from July 1, 2022. Further, All India Merit List will be uploaded on the University website https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in The candidates can also check their results after login to their AILET-2022 account on the University website.

The AILET Counselling Procedure 2022 will be carried out by NLU, Delhi or National Law University, Delhi on the basis of the AILET Result 2022.

There is a total of 80 seats in NLU Delhi in the B.A LLB course [70 Seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCI/PIO)]. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have obtained 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

In the Counselling Procedure admissions are given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank obtained in AILET 2022 and their category as per the reservation of seats decided for admissions.

The current Reservation Criteria for admissions in NLU Delhi is as follows: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 10% for EWS or Economic Weaker Sections and 5% for Persons with Disabilities. Note: One additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants. Two additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir

The AILET Counselling Procedure 2022 is as follows:

• After the AILET Result 2022 is declared, based on the result NLU Delhi invites shortlisted candidates for Admission Counselling in each category. The List of candidates invited for counselling is declared online on the NLU Delhi Official website: www.nludelhi.ac.in . Approximately three times the number of candidates corresponding to number of seats in each category will be invited for counselling

• Step 2: Paying the Counselling Fee - Candidates shall login to their Application Locker, click on Pay Counselling Fees. On the following page, they have to upload applicable documents and enter their Class 12 total percentage of marks secured. - Then the candidate needs to Click on ‘Pay Now’. The candidate will be taken to the online payment gateway and will complete the transaction for counselling fee of ₹ 50000/-.

• Step 3: Candidates selected for provisional admission will be then required to pay Balance fee of ₹70,500/- through online payment. They shall be issued Admission Slip.

• The list of candidates who have been invited for registration for the online counselling will be uploaded on the University website in order of AILET marks. All such candidates are required to deposit their counselling fee within stipulated time period. They are also required to provide total percentage of marks secured by them in X and XII Classes in order to decide the inter-se merit of AILET 2022 if required.

• The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date which will be notified along with the notification of Entrance Test result and in case such candidate placed in compartment in the year of the admission, would be treated as ineligible.

• If two or more candidates get the same percentage of marks at the Entrance Test (AILET) their inter se-merit will be determined on the basis of % of marks in XII standard. NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY DELHI Sector – 14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110078

• If the inter-se merit is still same, then the marks of X standard will be taken into consideration.

• If still there is no change in merit, then the candidate elder/higher in age shall get preference.

• The University will issue a category wise provisional merit list of only those candidates who have successfully completed the counselling registration process and paid the counselling fee of ₹50000/- within stipulated time period. Registration for the counselling will not guarantee a seat.

• If a candidate’s name is in the List of provisionally selected candidates, the candidate is required to pay the balance fee within stipulated time period failing which provisional admission offer will automatically stand cancelled & counselling fee paid will be forfeited. The balance fee shall be paid through the same portal/interface through the same login via which, candidates have participated in the counselling process. The University will also issue category wise waiting list of only those candidates who have participated in the counselling process. In case any vacancy arises due to withdrawal of admission or non-deposit of balance fee by the provisionally selected candidate within the stipulated time period, the seat shall be filled up from the waiting list candidates of concerned categories only.

• NLU Delhi will not be responsible for any issues relating to payments. Candidate must wait till you see a ‘Payment Successful’ message & acknowledgment slip generated. Requests to make payments after last date due to transaction failures or any other issues will not be considered.

• The University will refund the counselling fee of only such candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling process and paid the counselling fee but due to higher cut off could not find place in the provisional merit list of the respective categories for admission. The said refund will be initiated by the University on completion of admission process.

After the AILET Counselling Procedure 2022 is completed the admission process at NLU Delhi completes and the announcement for the start of classes of New Session is released by NLU Delhi.
