AILET 2021 Rescheduled to 20th June by NLU Delhi| Application form begins on 3rd week of January 2021
The National Law University, Delhi has decided to reschedule AILET 2021 Law Entrance Exam, as per the latest report. The candidates who are preparing for the examination must note that the AILET 2021 Exam is now scheduled to be held on 20th June 2021 As per the earlier notification, AILET 2021 Exam was scheduled to be held on 2nd May.

NLU, New Delhi issued a public notice earlier today announcing the new dates of AILET 2021. NLU has also delayed the issue of admission notice and start of Online Application Form for AILET 2021.The notification released by NLU Delhi also confirmed that the application process for the law entrance exam will commence soon. Tentatively, the AILET 2021 application process will begin in the third week of January.
The official admission notice containing the complete details of AILET 2021 is scheduled to release at the official website www.nludelhi.ac.in in the third week of January 2021. Along with it, Online Application Form is also releasing during the same time in January 2021. NLU announced the conduct of AILET 2021 in an earlier notice dated December 04, 2020. The detailed notice is expected soon which will indicate the complete eligibility conditions of the national level law entrance exam.
Through, AILET, Candidates will get admission in L.L.M, 5 year B.A L.L.B and Ph.D. programmes. Candidates will be able to get admission in NLU's in all over India only after qualifying the examination. The university does not accept any other law entrance exam for admissions and is the only National Law University or NLU that does not take its admissions through CLAT or Common Law Admission Test.
The BA LLB course has a seat intake of 110 seats while the LLM program has 70 seats to offer. 12,599 students attempted the AILET in 2020. The merit list of AILET 2021 for admission will be prepared based on the score obtained by candidates in the online examination

For LLB admissions, the examination is held as a Computer Based Test for a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Candidates have to take a test for a question paper of 150 marks containing only MCQ type questions. The question paper is based on the subjects of English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Only). Each correct answer carries 1 mark. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer.
For LLM, the question paper is based on the subjects of Criminal law, Law of Contract, Jurisprudence, Constitutional law, International law, Tort law etc. Last year, AILET was conducted as a Remote Proctored Test for admission to PhD courses. Question paper of PhD admissions is based on the subjects of Research Methodology and Legal Research Aptitude. The marking scheme is the same as that for admission to LLB course.
