AILET 2021 Notification Released | Exam on 2nd May:

New Delhi: The National Law University, New Delhi (NLU Delhi) has released the notification for “All India Law Entrance Test – 2021 (AILET-2021)” on their official website: www.nludelhi.ac.in . As per the AILET 2021 notification the AILET 2021 will be conducted for admission to the Five Year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D. programme on Sunday, 2nd May 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at all India level. Application Forms will be available on the NLU website from the first week of January 2021.

This is a university-level entrance exam only for admission in law programmes at NLU Delhi. The university does not accept any other law entrance exam for admissions and is the only National Law University or NLU that does not take its admissions through CLAT or Common Law Admission Test.

The BA LLB course has a seat intake of 110 seats while the LLM program has 70 seats to offer. 12,599 students attempted the AILET in 2020. The merit list of AILET 2021 for admission will be prepared based on the score obtained by candidates in the online examination.

Candidates who have passed Class 12th or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for AILET 2021.

 

Once the application form is released, the candidate would have to register on https://nludelhi.ac.in/home.aspx . To register for AILET 2021, candidates have to fill in details such as name, personal mobile number, email address, and date of birth as per their official documents. Once, the candidates have selected the course in which they want to secure admission they need to click on the “Apply Now” button for the next step.

 

On successfully creating the AILET login account, candidates can fill the form to complete the application process of NLU Delhi admissions. For this the details to be filled by the candidates are as under Religion, Category, Nationality, Examination Centre, Address for communication, Education details, and Parent/Guardian’s details.

 

Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications below:

  • File size should be less than 150 KB.
  • The file should be in a JPG, GIF, or BMP format.
  • The file should be a scanned copy of their recent photograph, color photo, with a light background and the candidates' face should cover at least 75% of the photo.
  • It should be a scanned copy of the signature either in black or blue ink on a light color background.

In the final step towards completing the application process, candidates have to pay the application fee in the online mode using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking due to the pandemic. AILET 2021 application fee is expected to be Rs 3,050 for General category, Kashmiri Migrant and Foreign Nationals, whereas, for Scheduled Caste/ Tribes and PWD category, the application fee is likely to be Rs 1,050.

Once the application fee has been paid and the status for it is reflected in the applicant account, candidates have to cross-check the details entered on the form and submit it online only. Also, take printouts of the submitted application form for future references.

Candidates should fill and submit the application form for AILET 2021 before mid-April. Aspirants who are not able to meet this deadline will not be allowed to take the AILET 2021 exam.
