SLAT 2022:  The SLAT 2022 or SET-Law 2022 or Symbiosis Law Admission Test 2022 will be conducted by the Symbiosis International University for admissions into the various 5 years Integrated B.A LLB and BBA. LLB courses offered at Symbiosis Law School- Pune, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur respectively.

The SLAT will be conducted on 3rd July, 2022.

SLAT 2022 will be conducted in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes or 1 hour. There will be a total of 60 questions.

SLAT Application Form 2022: The SLAT Application Form 2022 will be available online tentatively from the 1st week of January, 2022 on the SET official website: www.set-test.org.

The SLAT Application Form 2022 can be filled by following these steps:

 

  • Visit the official admission portal of SIU: www.set-test.org 
  • Click on the registration link
  • Enter your name, mobile number, email Id, Category and preferred test city
  • Upload your recent passport size colour photograph in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format. The maximum size of the photo should not exceed more than 100kb.
  • Click on “Save and Continue” option to complete the SLAT registration

Upon submitting the registration form of SLAT 2022, candidates will receive an I.D. and a password which they will need every time to access their account.

Steps to Fill the SLAT Application Form 2022:

  • Login at the SET candidate portal.
  • The application form of SLAT 2022 will be displayed on the screen.
  • Enter your personal information such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, category and communication details.
  • Enter your educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th marks, percentage, passing year and board name).
  • Select your course choice; you can select both BA LLB and BBA LLB or just one programme.
  • Check all the information to ensure that all entries are correct and complete and submit your application form for fee payment.

SLAT Application Form 2022 - Fee payment

Select the mode of payment. The SLAT application fee can be paid in online or offline mode. Candidates who select the online mode will be redirected to the payment gateway. The online fee payment can be done by using a credit card or debit card or by net banking option.

Candidates who select the offline mode of payment will be required to generate the e-challan. The application fee of SLAT should be paid by using the demand draft in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

Before filling the SLAT Application Form 2022 the candidates must read the information brochure for details like Institute Profile, Seat Availability, Admission Process, Eligibility, etc.

Eligibility

SLAT Eligibility Criteria 2022: The SLAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

 

SLAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Indian:

Age Limit:

  • There is no age Limit.

Qualification:

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University.
  • If the candidates appearing in class 12th examination are eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in their class 10+2.
  • For SC/ST candidates, marks relaxation is 5%.

 

SLAT Reservation Policy:

Scheduled Caste (SC)                             : 15%

Scheduled Tribes (ST)                           : 7.5%

Differently Abled                                   : 3%

Children/wards of Defence Personnel    : 5% (for SLS, Pune)

Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits/ Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmiri Valley       : 2 seats per programme

International Candidates                          : 15%

 

 

Reservation of Seats for Nagpur:

  • 25% seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Nagpur.
  • UG programme 'Nagpur Domiciled' means persons, who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of 5 (five) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year, and who have class XII from Maharashtra State Board or equivalent exam or Degree certificate or are appearing for the qualifying examination of Nagpur University before admission to the programme.
  • Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority (Collector's office)

 

Eligibility Criteria for International Candidates:

Symbiosis Center for International Education (SCIE) earmarks 15% of the total intake of the respective program for international students which include, Foreign Nationals (FN), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Holders, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders, and Non-Resident Indians (NRI)

  • Foreign National (FN): A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO): All the existing Persons of Indian Origin cardholders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
  • Non-Resident Indian (NRI): A student is eligible to apply as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) if the candidate has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India. It is mandatory for NRI students who have appeared for their 10th standard exam outside India and 12th in India.

SLAT 2022 Selection Process:

On the declaration of the SLAT result, SLS will publish the list of shortlisted candidates who are eligible for the PI-WAT process.

PI-WAT (Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test):

  1. PI (Personal Interaction) – 30 Marks

Personal interaction of shortlisted candidates will be conducted by a panel of experts from Industry / Academic. The same will be conducted in online mode via a Video Chat Application.

  1. WAT (Writing Ability Test) – 20 Marks

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Exam also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that entrance examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

 

SLAT Admit Card 2022:  The SLAT Admit Card 2022 or SLAT Hall Ticket 2022 will be available for download from 14th June 2022 to 27th June 2022 on the official website of SLAT: www.set-test.org .

To Download the SLAT Admit Card 2022 by following below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Enter the ID and Password
  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
  • Download and Print the SLAT Admit Card 2022.

 

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

Candidate must carry any one of the following ID:

  • Passport.
  • Driving license.
  • Voter ID Card.
  • Pan Card
  • AADHAR Card (UID)

Important Instructions:

  • An authorized person will verify and authenticate your Admit Card against the photo-id on the day of the test
  • Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/ memory or any electronic or smart devices are not be allowed in the test hall.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the test hall till the test is completed. After submission of the test, candidate will not be allowed to re-enter the test hall.
  • Candidates are advised to locate allocated test center at least a day in advance to avoid any issue on the day of the test.
  • Travel and staying arrangements will need to be done by the candidates.

 

SLAT Result 2022: The SLAT Result 2022 will be published online on the SLAT website: www.set-test.org .

To check the SLAT Result 2022 by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Go to the official website i.e., www.set-test.org .
  • Enter the ID and Password.
  • Click on the SLAT Result
  • Result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and Print the SLAT Result 2022 for further admission process.

 

After the declaration of SLAT Result, SIU will conduct the two more further rounds i.e., Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for selection of candidate. Based on the SLAT Entrance Exam Score, only those candidates are eligible for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

Personal Interaction (PI):

Personal Interaction will be conducted online over a video chat application.

Writing Ability Test (WAT):

WAT will include subjective essay questions.

After conduction of PI-WAT, Category-wise cut-off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective institutes. Waitlist movement will depend upon the vacant seats available.

Admission Counselling

SLAT Counselling Procedure 2022:  The SLAT Counselling Procedure 2022 or the SLAT Admission Procedure 2022 will start after the result of the final round of the shortlisted candidates in the Personal Interaction stage of PI and WAT by all the Symbiosis Law Schools respectively.

The Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the SLAT and the Personal Interaction Stage.

Please note that only the candidates shortlisted as per their score in the SLAT 2022 will be called for the next stage of Personal Interaction involving PI and WAT.

 

Selection is done in two phases: Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the SLAT score; & the short listed candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).

Final Merit list shall be drawn on the basis of SLAT Score (50%) and PI-WAT performance (50%).

In other words, it will be based on the cumulative marks scored on the scale of 100 marks wherein SLAT score will be scaled down to 50 marks i.e. 50% weightage, and the remaining 50% weightage will be assigned as follows: Personal Interaction (PI) - 30 marks i.e. 30% and Written Ability Test (WAT) - 20 marks i.e. 20%.

Based on the Merit Lists prepared as per the above criteria Candidates are offered admissions in the BA LLB and BBA LLB courses at all the four campuses and the candidates interested to join these courses complete the admission procedure by depositing the admission fees and completing the other documentation and other formalities.

After the SLAT Admission Process or Counselling Procedure, 2022 will be completed and the admissions in the BA LLB and BBA LLB course at the respective four campuses will be over the classes for the first year at all the four Symbiosis Law School campuses will begin as per their respective schedule.
