PUTHAT 2021:

The PUTHAT 2021 or the Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test 2021 will be conducted by the Panjab University for admissions into the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) courses offered at the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University- Chandigarh.

The PUTHAT 2021 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of May, 2021 and the application form for the same will be available tentatively from the 1^st week of February, 2021.

The PUTHAT 2021 will be conducted as a 90 minutes duration Entrance Test of 100 Marks having 100 questions of one mark each. The Entrance Test will only be conducted in the English Language.

PUTHAT 2021 Key Points:

PUTHAT Application Form 2021:  The PUTHAT Application Form 2021 will be available tentatively from the 1^st week of February, 2021 on the PUTHAT 2021 official website: https://puthat.puchd.ac.in/ .

The Application Form will be available only in the online mode and will be available for Online Registration tentatively till the last week of March, 2021.

The Application Fee for PUTHAT 2021 will be as follows:

• INR 2175 for General Category Candidates
• INR 1088 for SC/ST/PWD Candidates

The PUTHAT Application Form 2021 can be filled online by following these steps:

1. Register Online.
2. Note down your Login Id and Password.
3. Download SBI Slip and pay fee in any SBI branch of India.
4. Login and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm.
5. Download your Admit Card.

NOTE:

If more than 24 hours have passed after depositing the fee in the bank and your journal number is not confirmed, write to [email protected] with a scanned copy of the bank slip.

Candidates who will avail of the concession in fee under the category SC/ST/PwD OR P.U. Class B/C Regular Employee must send the copy of the printout of their filled form along with the self-attested copy of Category Certificate/Proforma for claiming 50% concession to P.U. Regular Employees ("B" and "C" Class) duly signed by the Head/Chairperson, to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand.

PUTHAT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2021: The PUTHAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

The PUTHAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 in detail are as follows: 

Age Limit:

1. The candidate should not be less than 17 years old.

Qualification:

1. A candidate who have passed or appearing in class 12^th from Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test.
2. Candidates should be score at least 50% in their class 12^th and English as one of the compulsory subjects.
3. For SC/ST/PwD/BC, marks relaxation is 5%.

NOTE:

• The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in PUTHAT-2020, as this institution has been derecognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
• The examination which is conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, is not included in the booklet of recognized exams.

PUTHAT Participating Colleges 2021: The PUTHAT Participating Colleges 2021 or PUTHAT Participating Institutes 2021 includes only one University i.e., University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management.

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

PUTHAT Admit Card 2021:  The PUTHAT Admit Card 2021 or PUTHAT Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download tentatively in the 2^nd or 3^rd  week of May, 2021 on the official website of PUTHAT: www.puthat.puchd.ac.in .

Download the PUTHAT Admit Card 2021 by following below mentioned steps:

• Visit the above-mentioned official website.
• Click on Login.
• Enter the Login ID and Password.
• Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
• Download and Print PUTHAT Admit Card 2021.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam Centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

PUTHAT Result 2021: The PUTHAT Result 2021 will be published online on the PUTHAT official website: www.puthat.puchd.ac.in .

To check the PUTHAT Entrance Test Result 2021 by following the below mentioned steps:

• Go to the above-mentioned official website.
• Click on the Result link.
• Enter Login ID and Password.
• Result will be displayed on the screen.
• Download and Print the PUTHAT Result 2021 for further references.

The University will publish PUTHAT merit lists of the candidates and the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the examination. Admissions will be made on the basis of merit lists prepared by Panjab University. A candidate shall be included in a particular merit list on the basis of attainment of a minimum of 15% (cut off) aggregate of maximum marks in the test taken as a whole. Only in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Backward Classes/PwD, this requirement will be minimum attainment of 10% (cut-off) aggregate of maximum marks in PUTHAT test, taken as a whole.

Candidates securing equal marks will be bracketed together. Their inter se merit will be determined by the UIHTM as per Panjab University norms.

PUTHAT Counselling Procedure 2021:

The PUTHAT Counselling Procedure 2021 or the PUTHAT Admission Process 2021 will begin after the PUTHAT Result 2021 has been declared.

The PUTHAT Counselling or the PUTHAT Admission Process 2021 will be conducted online on the website: https://puthat.puchd.ac.in/ .

The candidates qualified in the PUTHAT 2021 will have to register for Counselling on the above website and participate in the admission Process.

The candidate, who have qualified the PUTHAT Exam, can download and submit the Admission Form (to be uploaded on the UIHTM website complete in all respect along with copies of all the necessary original certificates (Date of birth, Qualifying Examination and applicable Category Certificate) in UIHTM department and bring the original documents on the day of counselling to be held as per schedule.

• Dates will be notified later on.
• All the candidates need to be physically present for the counselling.
• In case of absence, he/she shall not be eligible for subsequent counselling.
• The Admission Counselling will be conducted in two Rounds 1^st and 2^nd .

The Admissions will be based on the Provisional Merit list that will be declared after the clearance of all the objections made in the tentative merit list declared on the basis of marks obtained in PUTHAT 2021 by candidates of all categories.

The Provisional Merit List will be prepared for each category on the basis of PUTHAT 2021 Marks obtained and it will be prepared for both BHMCT and BTTM courses separately.

Based on the above process for admissions the candidates who are included in the provisional merit list can deposit the fees in the UIHTM for the course they wish to take admissions into. After that and checking all the relevant documents the admissions into the UIHTM, Chandigarh will be completed for BHMCT and BTTM.

After the PUTHAT Counselling or Admission Process 2021 is completed and the admissions into the BHMCT and BTTM courses are completed in the UIHTM, Panjab University-Chandigarh. The Classes for the new session of the first year of BHMCT and BTTM courses will begin as per their respective schedule in UIHTM, Chandigarh.
