About

NEET :  The NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be conducted by the NTA or National Testing agency for admissions into the MBBS, BDS and various other Medical and Allied Health Science undergraduate courses offered by various Universities and Colleges of India.

The exam will be conducted in Offline - Pen Paper based mode and it will be conducted in 11 languages including Hindi and English.

The Application Form for the same will start soon as the NEET Official Notification is released by NTA. Along with the official notification all the information related to NEET is also made available by the NTA or National Testing Agency on the NEET official website: www.ntaneet.nic.in .

NEET  can be delayed this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. Students are advised to regularly follow this page for all the recent updates and news regarding NEET.

The NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be the only entrance test conducted in India through which admissions in all the seats of MBBS, BDS and other allied health science undergraduate courses will be granted by all the Medical, Dental and other Allied Health Universities and Colleges in India.

The following are the seats available under different quotas:

  1. All India Quota Seats
  2. State Government Quota Seats
  3. Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
  4. State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental /Ayurveda /Siddha /Unani /Homeopathy Colleges or any Private University
  5. Central Pool Quota Seats
  6. All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, in private unaided/aided minority / non- minority medical colleges shall also be filled on the basis of merit obtained in NEET(UG) – 2021.
  7. Indian Citizens/Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign (Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homeopathy) Institute need to qualify NEET 2021.
  8. The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical and Dental Courses.
  9. The counselling for admission to the seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.
  10. The result of NEET may be utilized by other entities of Central/State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.

*There can not be any other Entrance Examination conducted in India by any individual state, college, university etc for admissions into the Undergraduate MBBS, BDS and other related courses. NEET remains the only entrance examination for the MBBS and BDS course admissions in India.

NEET Application Form 2021:  The NEET Application Form 2021 will be released online for registration by the NTA or National Testing Agency on the NEET 2021 official website: www.ntaneet.nic.in tentatively in the 2nd or 3rd week of February, 2021 right after the NEET Official Notification 2021 is declared.

The NEET Application Form 2021 will be available online on www.ntaneet.nic.in tentatively till the last week of April, 2021.

The NEET Application Form can be filled online by following these steps:

  • Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using your or parents unique Email Id and Mobile No.
  • Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.
  • Step-3: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s latest Passport size Photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb), Post Card size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb - 300 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb), Left hand thumb impression (file size: 10 kb-50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.), Class X Passing Certificate (file size: 100 kb to 400 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. For photography, the focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background).
  • Step-4: Pay fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid safely for future reference. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
  • Download, save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.
  • All the 4 Steps can be done together in one go or at different times.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NTA website and also check their e-mails/SMS for latest updates.
  • Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 Post Card size (4”X6”) colored photographs with white background. The photographs are to be used for uploading on Online Application Form, for examination and also for Counselling/Admission.

Note:

  1. The final submission of the Online Application Form will remain incomplete if step-3 and step-4 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  2. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.
  3. The entire application process of NEET (UG) is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ by Hand/E-mail.

Eligibility

NEET Eligibility Criteria: The NEET Eligibility Criteria is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands canceled or void.

 

The NEET Eligibility Criteria in detail are as follows

 

Age limit:

  • The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December 2021. The upper age limit will be 25 years.

Nationality:

  • Indian National/NRIs/PIO/OCI and foreign nationals all are eligible to apply.

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with minimum 50% marks.
  • For SC/ST marks relaxation is 40% and for PwD marks relaxation is 45%.

Apart from the above mentioned NEET Participating Colleges 2021 the admissions in the AIQ or All India Quota of 15% seats in the MBBS and BDS courses respectively of all Medical and Dental Colleges and Universities across all Indian states and Union Territories will also be done through the NEET 2021 Score in the NEET Counselling Process 2021 done by MCC or the Medical Counselling Committee.

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Exam also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that entrance examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

 

NEET Admit Card 2021:  The NTA will release the NEET Admit Card 2021 or NEET Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download tentatively in the 3rd or 4th week of March, 2021 on the official website of NTA: www.ntaneet.nic in

The NEET Admit Card 2021 can be downloaded from the above website by the candidates by entering the Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Venue of Exam, Reporting time at Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Application Number, Date of Birth and Roll Number and other important information.

 

NEET Result 2021: The NEET result 2021 will be declared tentatively after 4 or 5 weeks of the conduction of NEET 2021.The NTA will declare the NEET Result 2021 on the NTA website: www.ntaneet.nic.in .

Candidates can check their individual NEET Result 2021 by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit official website i.e., www.ntaneet.nic.in
  • Login via Roll Number, DOB and Security Pin
  • After logging in, candidates can check their NEET All India Rank, Subject Wise Percentile Score, NEET Score and Cut off.
  • Download NEET Score Card 2021 for further reference and admission counselling.

Apart from declaring the individual Score Cards for all candidates in NEET 2021 the NTA or National Test Agency will also declare the various merit lists of candidates and the NEET Cut-off 2021 for all the categories of candidates respectively.

Admission Counselling

NEET Counselling Procedure 2021: The NEET Counselling Procedure 2021 or NEET Admission Counselling 2021 will be conducted centrally by the MCC or Medical Counselling Committee of the DGHS or Directorate General of Health Sciences, Government of India on its official website www.mcc.nic.in .

 

The NEET Counselling Procedure 2021 Schedule will be declared right after the NEET Result 2021 is declared by the NTA along with the Final Answer Key, Merit Lists and the NEET 2021 Cut-off for all the categories respectively.

 

Candidates must note that only the candidates that qualify the NEET Cut-off 2021 will be eligible for participating in the NEET Counselling Procedure 2021 conducted by the MCC.

The Role of MCC in the NEET Counselling 2021:

The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counselling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), 100% ESIC, AFMC (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota) 100% AIIMS & 100% JIPMER.

The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Testing Agency.

 

NEET Counselling Procedure 2021 in detail will be as follows:

  • The NEET Counselling Process 2021 will be conducted online on the MCC website : www.mcc.nic.in only the stray vacancy round will be conducted at the Deemed/Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER.
  • There will be a total of Four Rounds of Counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round and Stray Vacancy Round respectively.
  • Round 1: The following events will take place in the Round 1 of the NEET Counselling Procedure 2021:
  1. The main counselling Registration which will include payment of Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made) will be done.
  2. Exercising of Choices and Locking of choices.
  3. Process of Seat Allotment Round-1.
  4. Publication of result of Round 1on MCC website.
  5. Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 1 Result.
  • Round 2(Candidates who registered for Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again.): The following events will take place in the Round 2 of the NEET Counselling Procedure 2021:
  1. Fresh New Registration for Round 2 for those candidates who
  • Have not registered in Round 1 (with full payment of fees).
  • Have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again.
  • Fresh Choice filling Round 2.
  1. Publication of result of Round 2 on MCC website.
  2. Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2
  3. END of 15 % All India Counselling and reverting of Non-Joined, Not allotted seats to State quota / Institutional Quota of Central University /Central Institute.

 

  • Mop Up Round (Only for Deemed/ Central Universities, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER): The following events will take place in the Mop Up Round of the NEET Counselling Procedure 2021:

 

  1. Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Mop Up Round for the following:
    1. Those who registered in Round 1 & exited availing Free Exit
    2. Who registered in Round 2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees can register again with payment of fees. However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission in Round 2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER will not be eligible to participate in Mop-Up Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 & Round 2 need not register again).
  2. Fresh choice filling of Mop-Up Round 
  3. Publication of result of Mop-Up Round on MCC website
  4. Reporting at the Allotted Medical/ Dental College after Mop-Up Round List of Registered Candidates ten times the number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
  • Final Stray Vacancy Round: To be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round).

After the NEET Counselling Procedure 2021 is completed by the MCC and all the participating colleges and universities the seats of the non-filled or vacant seats of the 15% All India Quota Seats of all the States are sent back to the states respectively to fill those through the NEET Scores as per their admissions criteria and schedule.

After all the Counselling and Admissions Procedures in the MBBS and BDS Courses in India are completed via NEET 2021, the new session for the MBBS and BDS Courses First year will begin at the respective Institutes.
