JMI Entrance Test 2021: The JMI Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted by the Jamia Millia Islamia University for admissions into its various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered by its various departments.

Here we are covering all the Undergraduate courses offered at the various departments of Jamia Millia Islamia University for which admissions are granted based on the JMI Entrance Test.

The JMI Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of May, 2021 and the application form for the same is expected to arrive tentatively from the 1st week of February 2021 on the JMI Entrance Test Application Form: http://jmicoe.in/.

JMI Entrance Test Application Form 2021:  The JMI Entrance Test Application Form 2021 will be available online on the official website of JMI Entrance Test: http://jmicoe.in/ and Jamia Millia Islamia Official website: http://www.jmi.ac.in/.

The Application Form will be available online tentatively from the 1st week of February, 2021 and will be available tentatively till the last week of March, 2021.

The Application Fee for JMI Entrance Test 2021 will be INR 700.

 

The JMI Entrance Test Application Form 2021 can be filled online by following these steps carefully:

  • To register for admission candidates are required to use the online form available at JMI’s Admission Portal: www.jmicoe.in , www.jmi.ac.in
  • The Online Form submission process consists of two-phases viz.
  1. Candidate’s Registration: Entry of Basic Profile of the Candidate, and
  2. Entrance Application Submission: Choosing of Program(s), Category and Submission of Entrance Application Fee in Table I and time to time by subsequent notification from JMI.
  • Before applying for admission, a candidate is advised to ensure his/her eligibility as per the criteria laid down in the prospectus.
  • A candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a board/university/institute recognized by JMI. Jamia Millia Islamia recognizes degrees of all central universities, state universities, institutions of national importance and foreign universities, provided that their equivalence has been established by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Besides, the university also recognizes certain qualifications from the reputed madaris as well.
  • Candidates whose results for the qualifying examinations have not been declared may also apply. However, for programmes whose eligibility is B.Sc./B.A./B.Com etc, they must submit the required certificates etc. (of First declared result) by 16.09.2021, failing which their admission will be cancelled.
  • During the Registration process, the following information/details should be available with the candidate:
  1. A valid and readily accessible Email Id. Please note that, if required, JMI may use the registered email for future communication with the candidate.
  2. Soft copy of candidate’s coloured passport size photograph (Maximum 100KB in size) in JPG/JPEG format with White Background.
  3. Soft copy of candidate’s signature (Maximum 100 KB in size) in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Candidates may use the preview option to cross-check the correctness of entries filled by them online before confirming the submission of form. Any required correction(s) except in “Name” and “Date-of-Birth” in the Registration Information may be made before completing/Confirming the registration portion in the form. However, candidates will be able edit the information, when forms will be open for editing for all programmes. The detail guideline of editing will be published on www.jmicoe.in & www.jmi.ac.in.
  • Once the registration of admission form is successfully submitted the system will send an email bearing the Unique CODE with a link to verify the email account, and login (email ID), Password to access the account to the registered email id. After link verification, and using login ID and Password, the candidate may login to the portal and proceed to apply for the program(s) of his/her choice and pay the applicable entrance application fees.
  • Entrance Application Fees may be remitted through Online Mode using Credit Cards/ Debit Cards / net Banking .
  • A candidate is allowed to submit only ONE form for each program/group of programs (With Combined Entrance Test). Multiple submissions of form for the same program by a candidate may cause rejection of his/her candidature.
  • In case of submission of Online form through Cyber Café/ at any other place, a candidate is also advised to go through the guidelines and get the form filled in his/her presence and provide his/her contact information such as email and mobile number wherever required.
  • Candidates are advised not to send the hardcopy of the application to JMI. However, they are advised to retain a hard copy of the application form which they may print after logging into the admission portal at: www.jmicoe.in & www.jmi.ac.in

Eligibility

JMI Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria 2021: The JMI Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

Reservation of Seats:

Muslim Minority

  • 30% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Muslim applicants.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Women applicants who are Muslims.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for “Other Backward Classes” (OBCs) and Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims.

Persons with Disabilities

5% seats in all Programs in Jamia Millia Islamia shall be reserved for physically challenged persons

Internal (Jamia) Students

5% seats in all Undergraduate/Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programs shall be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination of the concerned programme (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students

Kashmiri Migrants

N.C.C. Cadets

“A” or “B” Certificate for admission to undergraduate programs.

  • Students admitted on this basis shall have to continue in the N.C.C. for at least one year.
  • The relaxation of marks shall be permissible only on production of relevant certificate duly verified by the N.C.C. Office of the Jamia.

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this Entrance Examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Test also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that Entrance Examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any Entrance Examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the Entrance Examination.

 

JMI Entrance Test Admit Card 2021:  The JMI Entrance Test Admit Card 2021 or JMI Entrance Test Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download tentatively in the 3rd or 4th week of April, 2021 on the official website of JMI Entrance Test: www.jmicoe.in or www.jmi.ac.in .

Download the JMI Entrance Test Admit Card 2021 by following below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Click on the Student Login
  • Enter the Email ID and Password
  • Click on the Submit Button
  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
  • Download and Print the JMI Entrance Test Admit Card 2021.

Information on availability of Admit Card status shall be provided to candidates to their registered mobile numbers through SMS

After printing the Admit Card, a candidate is required to paste his/her self-attested passport size recent colored photograph in the space provided. Candidate should follow the printed instructions on admit card.

The candidates are required to bring valid ID card at the time of Entrance Test.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the Entrance Examination.

 

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

 

JMI Entrance Test Result 2021: The JMI Entrance Test Result 2021 will be published online on the JMI Entrance Test website: www.jmicoe.in

Check the JMI Entrance Test Result 2021 by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Click on the result link.
  • Choose the course type, course name .
  • Then, pdf will appear on the screen
  • Download the pdf for future admission process.

 

  1. The University shall prepare the rank list strictly as per the merit of the entrance test score of candidates in various programs based on the provisions made in the University Ordinances and in accordance with various applicable reservations and relaxations.
  2. Entrance Test results shall be subject to clearance from “ not to be admitted list “ issued by the Office of the Proctor, Jamia Millia Islamia.
  3. The lists of provisionally selected candidates for admission will be displayed on the Jamia’s website www.jmicoe.in . No intimation to the candidates will be sent by post.
  4. The list of candidates selected for interview, wherever applicable, shall be displayed in ascending order of their Entrance Test Roll No. and will be displayed on Jamia’s website.
  5. JMI may display additional lists of candidates selected from the waiting list in order of merit as per the University procedure.
  6. If required, JMI may consider for spot registration for admission from the list of selected and waitlisted candidates strictly in order of merit provided that they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

For Programmes in which interview is a component of entrance test following rule is applied:

  • As per JMI Reservation policy, candidates in each reservation category will be called for interview. The number of candidates called for interview will be three/Four times the number of seats of that category.
  • The category in which candidates will be called for interview will be displayed on the webpage.
  • The candidates called for interview in category will be selected in that category or in lower priority category only.

For Example, if a candidate of Muslim reservation Category is called for Interview in General Category, then the candidate will get an offer for admission in either General or Muslim Category, strictly as per merit. If a Candidate is called for interview in Muslim Category, the candidate will get an offer for admission in Muslim Category only, strictly as per merit. Same rule is valid for other category reservation candidates.

 

Tie Breaking Resolution:

In case two candidates get the same score in the entrance test then the following tie-breaking rule is applied:

In all other programs (Except B.Tech, B.Arch, BDS), the tiebreak is done on the basis of date of birth i.e. the older age candidate is given a higher rank.

For interview programs, the candidate securing high marks in the written component of the entrance test is given a higher rank. If the marks in the written component are also the same, the date of the birth criterion is used i.e. the older age candidate is given a higher rank.

Score Card:

A Scorecard will be provided to the candidates who have appeared in the entrance test on their web portal account using which the candidates have filled the online admission form. The score cards will have the information about the marks and rank secured by the candidate in the admission test. No candidate is allowed to ask/see the score card of other candidates.

Admission Counselling

JMI Entrance Test Counselling Procedure 2021:  The JMI Entrance Test Counselling Procedure 2021 will start after the JMI Entrance Test Result 2021 is declared by Jamia Millia Islamia.

The JMI Counselling Procedure or Admission Procedure will be conducted for all the candidates selected in the Entrance Test. All those candidates can download the counselling letter from the website.

The Selected candidates will then have to register for the Counselling by paying the Counselling Fee and completing their Counselling Registration Online.

The candidates finally shortlisted based upon their Score in JMI Entrance Test will be mentioned in the provisionally selected candidates list of students for various courses respectively.

The Selected Candidates in the Provisional Selection List will then have to complete the admission formalities by completing the Document verification and depositing the Admission Fee.

The Admission Procedure will be completed when all the seats of the different courses at various faculties are filled by the selected candidates in all the merit lists.

Once the Admissions at the various Faculties, Departments, and Centres are completed for the various courses at Jamia Millia Islamia the classes for the new session will begin at the respective departments, faculties, and centers for the new batch as per their respective schedule.
