FDDI AIST 2021 Latest update: The FDDI AIST Exam has been cancelled due to Covid-19, admissions in the B.Des programme will be based upon the class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam marks.

FDDI AIST 2021: The FDDI AIST 2021 or Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test 2021 will be conducted by the FDDI or Footwear Design and Development Institute for admissions into the various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Design courses at all its campuses.

Over here we are only covering the Undergraduate Courses in Design offered after class 12th or equivalent. So, candidates looking for the Postgraduate admissions in FDDI are requested to vie that information form the FDDI official website.

The FDDI AIST 2021 will be a Paper Based Test of 2 hours and 30 minutes and will be conducted tentatively in the 4th week of May, 2021. The Online Application for the AIST and the Prospectus for Admissions will be available online on the FDDI Website: www.fddiindia.com tentatively from the 3rd week of January, 2021.

FDDI AIST Application Form 2021:  The FDDI AIST Application Form 2021 will be available online on the FDDI website: www.fddiindia.com along with the FDDI 2021 Prospectus tentatively from the 3rd week of January, 2021. The Application Form will be available only in the online mode and the last date for online application will be tentatively in the 2nd week of April, 2021.

The Candidates will also be given a chance to edit the application forms for any errors that might have occurred, the window for the same will be till the end of two days after the last date to fill the Online Application.

 

The Application Fee for FDDI AIST 2021 will be INR 500 and can be paid via Debit Card/Credit Card and other online payment methods.

The FDDI AIST Application Form 2021 can be filled online by following these steps:

  • STEP 1: New Candidate to Create Log In (New Log In)
  1. New Candidate to visit the website: https://applyadmission.net/fddi2021  and click : Fresh Candidate to create Log In (New Log In)
  2. Fill the details to register for any programme. You must have a valid email ID for applying online.
  3. Press the button “Submit”. Once the information filled here will not be changed.
  4. The confirmation for the registration will also be sent on your email entered.
    1. Note: Kindly note the Email-ID and Date of birth as filled by you will be used to login to the website to fill the online application form.
  • STEP 2: Already Logged In candidate log in to complete the process of filling online application form (Log In to your account)

  1. On clicking Already Logged in Candidate (CLICK HERE) to Complete Process (Log In to your account) page will appear which will have buttons indication 4 actions which are to be completed for submission of online application form:

  1. Action 1: Fill Application-
    1. Fill the details on the online application form. Since your eligibility will be screened based on the information furnished by you, you are required to exercise sufficient care to correctly furnish the details of your Qualification, etc.
    2. While filling the application form online, please save the information by clicking the button “SAVE”.
    3. In case you wish to edit any of the information you can do that by log in again using Email-ID and Date of birth and after editing the information, make sure to save the information by clicking the button “SAVE”.

 

  1. Action 2: Uploading Images (Photograph and Signature)-
    1. Upload Photograph - Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-colored, preferably white background, and has no harsh shadows. If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. Also, ensure that both ears are visible in the picture. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should be not be more than 50 kb.

 

  1. Upload Signature - Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan it. Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page and ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50 kb. Please note that this signature would appear on the Admit Card, and if it does not match the signature on the answer sheet at the time of the written test and at the time of Interview, the candidature will be cancelled. The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should not be more than 50 kb.

 

  1. Action 3: Make Payment-
    1. Payment through Debit Card / Credit Card: Keep the Debit Card / Credit Card Details handy.
    2. In case you wish to change the category, click button “Home” and then click button “Action 1: Fill Application” so that the application form will be opened. After editing the information, make sure to save the information by clicking the button “SAVE”. Now click button “Home” and then click button “Action 3: Make Payment” and proceed for the payment.
    3. NOTE: 1. Once the payment has been made through Debit/Credit Card; you will not be allowed to change/ modify any information.
    4. 2. Prior to making the payment, a candidate can edit/amend the information online. Once the payment has been made through Debit/Credit Card or Demand Draft; you will not be allowed to change/modify any information by the system. However, candidates will be given an opportunity to review and correct their personal information (changing the City of Examination is not permitted) in the application form during the Form editing window.
  • Step 3: Verify the status of your Submitted Application Form:  The candidates must verify the status of their submitted application form to confirm that it is submitted successfully.

Eligibility

Age Limit

The age limit for the Bachelor’s programme shall be 25 years as on the 1st July 2020.

Nationality

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Qualification

  • Candidate who have passed or appearing in class 12th or equivalent from any recognized Board/University.
  • Candidates yet to seem for their Higher Secondary examination are eligible to apply, but they have to give proof of having appeared for the examination during the Counseling process of FDDI programs.
  • Final year graduation candidates are also eligible to apply by providing their graduation degree or final mark sheet before September 30, 2021, to their admission officer.

FDDI AIST Admit Card 2021:  The FDDI AIST Admit Card 2021 or FDDI AIST Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download from 24th June 2021 on the official website of FDDI AIST: https://applyadmission.net/fddi2021.

Download (Print) the Admit Card:

  • On the basis of information given in the FDDI Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download from website: https://applyadmission.net/fddi2021 tentatively from the 4th week of April, 2021
  • Download Admit Card – On the due date for Admit Card, re-login to the website: https://applyadmission.net/fddi2021. A link for downloading Admit Card for written test, containing the details of the Centre/venue for the examination, etc., will be available.
  • Print Admit Card - Take a printout of the admit card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Written Test Venue without a valid Admit Card.

 

NOTE: The admit card for written test will NOT be sent by post or email. Candidates are advised to regularly check FDDI website for updates.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam Centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

 

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

To check the FDDI AIST Result 2021 by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Enter any two of the following: Online Application No., Date of Birth and Email ID.
  • Click on the Submit button.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and Print the FDDI AIST Result 2021 for further references.

In FDDI AIST Result 2021, rank and marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination. The programme and campus will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their rank and preference.

Successful candidates will be called for the counseling in order of their rank based on aggregate score in All India Selection Test (AIST) 2021.

Admission Counselling

FDDI AIST Counselling Procedure 2021:  The FDDI AIST Counselling Procedure 2021 or the FDDI Admission Process through Counselling will start after the FDDI AIST Result 2021 is declared by the FDDI.

 

The Admission Counselling Procedure will be done online on the FDDI Website: www.fddiindia.com and will be based upon the Ranks of candidates in the FDDI AIST 2021.

The FDDI Admission Procedure through Counselling on the basis of FDDI AIST 2021 and other admission procedures are as follows:

Admissions will be made strictly on merit basis (Rank-wise) and counselling. The programme & campus will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their rank in AIST 2021 and preference. Successful candidates will be called for the counselling in order of their rank based on aggregate score in All India Selection Test (AIST) 2021.

A candidate who is allotted a seat will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of counselling /admission to reserve the seat. This includes Rs. 10,000/- (Non Refundable) as Registration Fee + Rs 15,000/- as Advance Fee to be adjusted against the balance fee.

The registration charges shall not be refunded in case of withdrawal of admission. The candidates will be given ten working days from the date of reserving his seat to deposit the balance fee.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE - NRI/ FOREIGN APPLICANTS

Criteria for NRI/ Foreign Students: Overseas candidates applying for admission into Bachelor & Master programmes have to fill the registration form available at the Institute’s website. Such students may attend interview process online.

Person of Indian Origin (PIO) : A person of Indian origin possessing foreign citizenship (except that of Pakistan and Bangladesh) without ‘NRI’ status, who holds a foreign passport at the time of application, consideration for admission and during the period of his/her study, he/she or anyone/both of his/her parents or anyone/both of his/her grandparents is (or was)/are (or were) citizen(s) of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec. 2(b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955).

Non Resident Indian (NRI) : NRI is a candidate who is a child/ ward of the person who has NRI status as defined under section 6 of the Income Tax Act 1961. Also, an individual is defined as Non-Resident when he is 'not a resident' of India or who is 'not ordinarily a resident' of India. A person is treated as 'not ordinarily resident' when any of the following conditions is satisfied:

  • If he/she has not been a resident of India for nine out of ten preceding years.

OR;

  • If he/she has not ordinarily been in India for a period of 730 days or more during the preceding seven years.

Only a person who is an NRI himself/herself may seek admission and no other candidate without NRI status would be eligible. Admission under this category shall be made on the basis of merit. If any or all seats from the NRI quota remain unfilled, the resulting vacancy shall be filled on the merit of the applicants for admission.

10% seats are reserved in each programme for NRI / Industry-Sponsored will be offered only to the candidates meeting the above-mentioned criteria on the merit basis of their performance in the scheduled interview. The vacant seats under NRI / Industry-Sponsored category will not be offered to any regular candidate.

 

After the Admission Process is completed for all the FDDI Campuses for the Undergraduate Courses the classes for the new session will begin for the first of the various Undergraduate Fashion and Design courses at the respective campuses.
