AIL LET 2021:  The Army Institute of Law Entrance Test or AIL LET 2021 or LET 2021 will be conducted by the Army Institute of Law, Mohali for the admissions into its 5 years Integrated BA LLB course.

The LET will be conducted in an online mode tentatively in the 1st week of June, 2021.

The Army Institute of Law, Mohali is one of the most renowned Law Institutes of the country especially for the 5 years BA LLB Course.

Out of the Total 80 seats of the Institute 60 seats are reserved for the wards of Army Personnel and 16 seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the Punjab Resident Civil category while only 4 seats are available for the All India Civil Category students.

The Admissions in the BA LLB course of the Army Institute of Mohali for the different categories is given on the following basis:

  • Admission to the 60 seats for wards of Army Personnel and 4 seats of All India Category will be done through the Online LET conducted by AIL or Army Institute of Law, Mohali under the aegis of AWES.
  • Admissions to the 16 seats of the Punjab Category candidates will be based upon 10+2 merits, drawn up by the nominated university as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.

AIL LET Application Form 2021:  The AIL LET Application Form 2021 or The Online AIL LET Application Cum Admission Form 2021 for Army and Civil Category will be available tentatively from the 3rd week of April 2021 and will be available till the 2nd week of May, 2021. The last date to apply with late fee will be around the 3rd week of May, 2021.

The Application Form will be available online on the AIL Mohali official website: www.ail.ac.in .

 

The Application Fee for the AIL LET 2021 will be as follows:

₹3000 for all Army and All India Civil Category candidates.

₹4000 for all Army and All India Civil Category candidates (With additional Late fee if applied during the late fee period).

 

The Online Registration for the AIL LET Application Form 2021 can be completed by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website of Army Institute of Law; www.ail.ac.in.
  • Click on the AIL LET application link, you will be redirected to the application portal.
  • Click on the new registration link; AIL LET registration form will be displayed on the screen.
  • Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email id and other details. Submit the registration form.
  • After registration, candidates will be given a registration ID which will be used for logging into the admission portal.
  • Login using the registration ID, and open the admission cum application form.
  • In the application form, fill the personal details, category, complete address, educational qualification, and select the course you want to apply for.
  • Upload a recent passport size photo and signature. The recommended size and format specifications are given below.

AIL LET 2021 Application Form submission:

After uploading the documents, candidates may submit the application form. Here, to complete the application process, candidates will need to pay the application fee in online mode. Candidates may use a credit card, debit card, or net banking facilities to submit the application fee.

Eligibility

AIL LET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The AIL LET Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

 

The AIL LET Eligibility Criteria 2021 in detail are as follows: 

Qualification:

  • A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala and securing at least 45% marks.
  • Candidate who is appearing in class 12th are also eligible to apply.

Important Points:

  • Candidates whose declaration of results is delayed should apply well in time to the concerned Board of examination to forward a confidential result directly to Principal, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab. The responsibility to ensure its timely dispatch will be that of the candidate. Delayed receipt of result shall render the candidate ineligible for admission.
  • Candidates passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available.
  • In case an applicant has passed a qualifying examination from Board/University whose degree has not been notified as equivalent to the Punjabi University, Patiala, he/she will have to produce the eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of interview, failing which his / her candidature shall not be considered.
  • The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Army Wards and the respective Certificates:

The eligibility criteria are as laid down in the AWES Policy.

The applicant accordingly must fall under one of the following categories:

  • Army Personnel ( Certificate No. I):
    1. Wards of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army. (Submit Certificate No. I)
    2. Wards of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes ward of the recruits who are medically boarded out and granted disability pension. (Submit Certificate No. I)
    3. Wards of ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or release after ten years of service. (Submit Certificate No. I)

 

  • Adopted/step Ward and Ward of Remarried Widows (Certificate No. II):
    1. Adopted child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission. (Submit Certificate No. II)
    2. Step Ward are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is otherwise eligible.(Submit Certificate No. II)

 

  • Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases (Certificate No. III):
    1. Eligibility criteria for Ward of Ex- Army Medical Corps Officers/Army Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force (IN/IAF). Ward of only those Ex- Army Medical Officers/ Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for at least 10 years. (Submit Certificate. No. III)
    2. Eligibility criteria for ward of APS/MNS/TA Personnel
  • Wards of APS personnel classified as ex-serviceman as per Government of India, Ministry of Defense letter No 9 ( 52)/88/D( Res) dated 19th July, 1989. (Submit Certificate No.III)
  • Wards of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army. (Submit Certificate No. III)
  • Ward of APS personnel who is directly recruited into APS who have completed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army. (Submit Certificate No. III)
  • Wards of only those members of MNS who have 10 years of service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of a pension from Army. (Submit Certificate No. III)
  • Wards of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service. (Submit Certificate No. III)

 

Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Punjab Residents Civil Category: Admission for Children of Punjab Residents Civil Category will be done by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. For the details refer to their website www.online.gndu.ac.in  & www.PunjabLawAdmission.gndu.ac.in.

Admission Process and Seat Distribution:

  • Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel will be done through the Online Law Entrance Test (LET) conducted by AIL.
  • Admission to 04 seats in the All India Category will also be through the Online Law Entrance Test (LET).
  • Candidates for both Army and All India Category will be called for counselling as per merit in the written exam. Admission will be granted only if the candidate is found eligible on the day of counselling.
  • Admission to 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 merit, drawn up by the Punjabi University as in the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.
  • After getting due clearance from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on the basis of online counselling, the physical presence of the student at the time of admission in the Institute is mandatory.

  • Admit will be shown on the screen.
  • Download the Admit Card 2021.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

 

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Reporting Time Personal Details of the Candidate like Application Number and Roll Number and other important information including the Instructions to be followed by the candidate at the exam centre before, after and during the Entrance Examination.

Admission Counselling

AIL LET Counselling Procedure 2021:  The AIL LET Counselling Procedure 2021 or the AIL Counselling-cum-Admission Procedure for All India Civil and Army Category will be held at AIL, Mohali.

The AIL Counselling-cum-Admission Procedure for Army and All India Civil Category will start immediately after the AIL LET Result 2021 is declared. The Counselling will be done as per the Candidate’s Category and their merit in the Online LET 2021 or the Army Institute of Law Entrance Test 2021.  

 

The AIL Counselling-cum-Admission Procedure 2021 will be as follows:

  • The AIL Counselling-cum-Admission Procedure for Army and All India Civil category will be conducted offline at the Army Institute of Law or AIL, Mohali.
  • There will be a maximum of two Rounds of Counselling if there is still a vacancy after the first-round admissions.
  • After the First Counselling-cum-Admission for Army and All India Civil Category is completed at AIL, Mohali the selected students will have to deposit the fee and report on the next day of the first counseling.
  • Second Counselling-cum-Admission for Army and All India Civil categories will be done at AIL, Mohali after 1 week of the First Counselling only if it is required.
  • Admission for Children of Punjab Residents Civil Category will be done by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. For the details refer to their website www.online.gndu.ac.in  & www.PunjabLawAdmission.gndu.ac.in.

 

After the Admissions at AIL Mohali or Army Institute of Law, Mohali are completed for all the categories the classes for the new session at AIL, Mohali will start as per their schedule.
