Brief

Media and Journalism career opportunities never have been on that high demand which they are now in this very fast and improving communications age. The demands are increasing exponentially with the rise of Internet penetration and the age of Social Media influencing real lives on a daily basis.

From prime time News Anchors to News Papers Editors and Columnists, News Bloggers to Social Media Persons the scope of Media is getting wider day by day.

This is also one of the few courses that gives students a second chance to join after graduation etc even if they miss out opting this as the undergraduate programme after 10+2 or equivalent.

Courses: The major formal degree courses provided in India in the field of Media and Journalism after 10+2 or equivalent are BJMC (Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication), BA in Journalism, BMM (Bachelors in Mass Media), BMC (Bachelors of Mass Communication), BA in Media Advertising, BA in Mass Media, etc.

There is also a 5-year Integrated Course in Journalism (FYIPJ) that offers Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) and Masters of Journalism (MJ) in two languages (English and Hindi) provided by the Delhi School of Journalism under Delhi University.

In Journalism, Media and Communication there are more experienced and better-ranked Institutions or Colleges at Postgraduate Level rather than the Undergraduate level.
