Dental science is an important branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and conditions of the oral cavity, jaw and face area. Students opting for this stream can either become dental surgeons or dentists.

A student can enter Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course in India after 10+2 or its equivalent if he/she has taken Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 or its equivalent. It is a 5 years course including 4 years of study and 1 year of Internship.
