NIFT Situation Test 2021 (Postponed until Further Notice due to Covid-19)– Previous 10 Years Questions for Preparation, Select Test Dates and Centres

Latest Update: The Situation Test for Undergraduate Design Courses scheduled for April 10, 11, 12, and 13 stands postponed. This is due to the increasing Covid-19 cases in the country. The new dates for the Situation Test will be notified on the official NIFT website. 

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) announced the NIFT result 2021 for the written exam on March 17. NIFT 2021 situation test will most likely be held in April/May 2021. The registration portal for the NIFT situation test has started. Shortlisted candidates for Bachelor of Design (BDes) can select their preference for Situation Test Date & Test Centre. NIFT situation test is conducted to examine the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials. NIFT Entrance Exam is a three-tiered process for BDes course admission. Herein, aspirants need to give CAT (Creative Ability Test), GAT (General Ability Test) followed by the Situation Test. Thus, the final step to secure admission in BDes programs offered at different NIFT campuses is to appear for the Situation Test.

In 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the situation test was canceled. Candidates were given admissions on the basis of their Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) scores.

NIFT Situation Test is of two hours durations. At the NIFT Situation Test center, candidates are provided with a set of materials and they need to make 3D models using them to answer the questions asked in the question paper. After making the model, aspirants need to accompany the same with a write-up explaining the model construction.

Students who got qualified for the written test will have to choose the exam date and test centers of the NIFT situation test. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear in NIFT 2021 situation test. Students have to download the call letter for the same.
