NID Cutoff 2024 | Check Category wise Last Rank and Marks

NID Cutoff 2024 for BDes and MDes will be released by the National Institute of Design (NID) on the institute's official website separate cut-offs for the NID entrance exam will be released for candidates belonging to different categories, such as – General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes- Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Supernumerary. Along with NID DAT cutoffs, aspirants can go through the percentile score of the last candidate that was offered admission in BDes and MDes courses offered at NID campuses.

NID Minimum Qualifying criteria:

As per NID official website - “Based on the category-wise merit list of DAT (Prelims), the number of candidates shortlisted for DAT (mains) in each category, in each discipline is three times the number of available seats in each category, in the respective discipline”.

All candidates need to meet the NID cutoff to secure admission in BDes courses offered at NID campuses. Separate NID entrance exam cut-offs are released for NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains exam. NID DAT Prelims result for BDes and MDes is likely to be announced in the last week of June. Only candidates who meet the NID DAT Prelims cut-off will be eligible to take part in NID DAT Mains (which will be conducted online this year) for NID admissions. 

The candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying mark to gain admission for undergraduate courses in the design domain. None of the students will be offered admission to BDes programs if they fail to secure the minimum specified NID cutoff 2021.

Candidates can check the cut-off marks through the website of NID. If candidates will not score the marks up to the cut-off marks, they will be disqualified for further admission.

Only those candidates who will be called for the next stage of admission will secure the cut-off marks.

The candidate's score obtaining the last rank in the open category will be considered a cut-off score for the reserve category candidates. The cut off relaxes for the reserved category are given as follows:

10% less than the cut-off score of the Open Category

20% less than the cut-off score of the Open Category

20% less than the cut-off score of the Open Category

30% less than the cut-off score of the Open Category
