Harshita :Congratulations Tanshika on achieving this feat, During the preparation did NEET AIR 1 ever came across your mind?

Tanishka: No ma’am I never thought that I would be able to get AIR 1 and I never focussed on that thing. I just wanted to get into AIIMS, Delhi.

Harshita :After accomplishing such a great achievement , what next big things you dream to achieve in your life?

Tanishka: Ma’am, now I want to pursue MBBS from AIIMS, Delhi. Further I have not decided yet but I want to pursue MS in either neurology or cardiology or oncology or any other field which will fascinate me more during MBBS.

Harshita: What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?

Tanishka: Ma’am I always wanted to be a doctor because it is a very nobel profession where you can serve the society. When you manage to save a patient’s life the happiness you see on their relatives’ face gives you a great satisfaction.

Harshita : Was this your first attempt at NEET ? When did you start preparing for the entrance exam and what strategies you used in particular for your preparation?

Tanishka: Yes ma’am this was my first attempt in NEET with my 12th. I became serious for studies in 9th class but my actual NEET preparation started in 11th class. I had no specific strategy but what I did was I never left today’s work for tomorrow. I daily revised the things which were taught in class on that particular day.

Harshita : Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for NEET. So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for NEET for each of the 3 sections and overall preparation ?

Tanshika : For future NEET aspirants, I just want to say that make a goal and work on it. Give your 100%. Only what you do is in your control and don’t worry about results. If you will work hard, the results would be good for sure. And for motivation, I want to say that the real motivation is within you. Make a goal and do your work sincerely and with dedication.

Harshita :What advice would you like to give the future NEET aspirants & share with us the strategies you used to stay motivated in your exam days.

Tanishka : Mock tests are very important in every exam preparation particularly competitive exams. Practice as many mock tests as you can because they increase both your speed and accuracy which is must for competitive exams. I started giving mock tests of full syllabus when I had completed my whole syllabus and increased their frequency when the exam came near. I gave mock tests in the same pattern as NEET exam and in the same time as we are given in final exam and tried to complete my paper about 30 minutes before the given time.

Harshita: What is the ideal time to start taking mock Tests & What role do mock tests play in NEET Preparation? What was your strategies in particular towards mock tests?

Tanishka: Ma’am basically the syllabus in NEET is not so vast as JEE. The exam mainly focuses on NCERT. So we have to read the NCERT books thoroughly . But for physics and physical chemistry, theory is not much important. There you shoukd focus on solving more and more questions.
