Harshita: Congratulations Tanmay  on achieving this feat, During the preparation did NEET AIR 1 & scoring 720/720 marks ever came across your mind ?

Tanmay: Thank u ma'am. During the preparation I only tried to give my best… scoring a perfect 720 was beyond my imagination..

Harshita: Did the COVID pandemic affect your exam preparation in any way? How did you manage your study during the lockdown ?

Tanmay : The pandemic really made things difficult at first mainly because of no interaction with friends and completely new method of studying.Though I adapted to the situation soon enough to prevent any compromise in studies .During the lockdown I used to attend online classes and as my doubts directs from teachers on Whatsapp.Self study went side by side..

Harshita: After accomplishing such a great achievement , what next big things you dream to achieve in your life?

Tanmay: Now I would like to take admission in AIIMS Delhi and pursue the MBBS course .

Harshita :What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?

Tanmay: I always had an interest in science..But it was in 10th standard that I knew I had an inclination towards medicine.I always wanted to do something for the good of people and it served as an inspiration. My parents and grandparents were a constant source of motivation as well.

Harshita: Was this your first attempt at NEET ? When did you start preparing for the  entrance exam and what strategies you used in particular for your preparation?

Tanmay : Yes this was my first attempt.I started my preparation in 11th standard.I used to set daily goals and give enough time to my hobbies to keep my efficiency in studies at the highest.I think consistency played a great role in my success.

Harshita: Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for NEET.  So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for NEET  for each of the 3 sections and overall preparation ?

Tanmay: I used to study the theory part from NCERT , notes and my used to practice questions from aakash modules. So i would suggest that for neet studying ncert and notes are a must ..A good reference book can be used to clear doubts in a particular topic though it is not completely necessary. For questions I also used to refer to cengage dpp and mtg books.

Harshita: What advice would you like to give the future NEET aspirants & share with us the strategies you used to stay motivated in your exam days.

Tanmay: My advise would be to stay consistent and positive in this long preparation journey. Always keep your stressbusters by your side and a clear target in your mind . This will surely increase your efficiency.

Harshita: What is the ideal time to start taking mock Tests & What role do  mock tests play in NEET Preparation? What was your strategies in particular towards mock tests?

Tanmay: Mock tests can be started as soon as u complete your entire syllabus for the exam. The frequency can surely be increased towards the end. They are extremely helpful and prepare you for the real exam. They help u to know your weak points and also help a lot to manage your time in the real exam.I used to give mock tests regularly and in the last month I used to give a mock test everyday.Though constant revision of topics are also necessary and should be done side by sides.
