The JMI Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands canceled or void.

B.Voc (Solar Energy)

Candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized board without any background of vocational training

Candidate need to secure at least 50% marks in aggregate with Physics and Mathematics

B. Voc (Medical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Electrophysiology)

Candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized board without any background of vocational training

Candidate need to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Reservation of Seats:

Muslim Minority

  • 30% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Muslim applicants.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Women applicants who are Muslims.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for “Other Backward Classes” (OBCs) and Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims.

Persons with Disabilities

5% seats in all Programs in Jamia Millia Islamia shall be reserved for physically challenged persons

Internal (Jamia) Students

5% seats in all Undergraduate/Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programs shall be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination of the concerned program (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students

Kashmiri Migrants

Kashmiri migrants are required to apply and go through the entire admission process. Their admission will be considered over and above not exceeding 5% of the total seats in the program and not exceeding two seats in programs offered by

  • Faculty of Engineering &Technology
  • Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics
  • A J K Mass Communication Research Centre
  • Faculty of Law
  • Faculty of Education
  • Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences

Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir

Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir are required to apply and go through the entire admission process. Their admission will be considered over and above not exceeding 2seats in the programs offered by other faculties including

  • Faculty of Engineering & Technology
  • Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics
  • AJK Mass Communication Research Centre
  • Faculty of Law, Faculty of Education
  • Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences

N.C.C. Cadets

  • Relaxation to the extent of 5% marks in aggregate or in the subject concerned, as the case may be, will be given to N.C.C. cadets having the following N.C.C. Certificates:

“A” or “B” Certificate is required for admission to undergraduate programs.

  • Students admitted on this basis shall have to continue in the N.C.C. for at least one year.
  • The relaxation of marks shall be permissible only on the production of the relevant certificates duly verified by the N.C.C. Office of the Jamia.
