In this interview, Ananth talks about his preparation strategies, books and future plans.

Here are the excerpts from the Interview :

Harshita - Congratulations Ananth Krishna in achieving this feat, During the preparation scoring 100 percentile ever came across your mind?

Ananth - During my preparation I was solely focused on completing the syllabus and practicing well; while I did want to score well, I had never really given much thought about scoring 100 percentile.

Harshita -Did the COVID pandemic affect your exam preparation in any way? How did you manage your study during the lockdown?

Ananth - The preparation process was definitely different, my interactions with the teachers and my classmates also reduced. It was difficult to cope in the beginning but eventually I got used to it. My teachers played a major role in monitoring my studies and helping me and in also ensuring that I did not become too frustrated or tired. We regularly talked on the phone to help me plan my studies and there were regular online classes to cover all the remaining topics and to clear my doubts.

Harshita - Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for JEE Main.  So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for JEE Main 2021 for each of the 3 sections and overall preparation?

Ananth - I think that the NCERT textbooks and previous year question papers of JEE Mains are enough material to score well in the exam.

Harshita - What advice would you like to give the future JEE Main & share with us the strategies you used to stay motivated in your exam days.

Ananth - Regular walks and proper sleeping and eating patterns went a great way in ensuring that I remained physically and mentally strong. According to me the most important thing is to make sure that we do not get too stressed before the exam, especially the day before. It is important to remain cool to make sure that we are able to perform to the best of our abilities and are able to deliver everything that we studied till then.

Harshita - What is the ideal time to start taking mock Tests & What role do mock tests play in JEE Mains Preparation? What was your strategies in particular towards mock tests?

Ananth - I took mock tests as and when my mentor used to tell me to; while I did take a lot of tests, I believe that I started with proper JEE Mains based mock tests after all of the syllabus was completed.

Harshita - After accomplishing such a great achievement of scoring 100 percentile in the examination, are you appearing in the subsequent examination of JEE Main session of March, April and May?

Ananth - I have not taken any decision regarding the same and will do so after consulting my mentor first.
