Analysis of Quantitative Ability (MCQ) in IPM AT 2020

Around 5 questions were asked from Data Interpretation. A calculator was provided for these types of questions. Good attempts for this section can be 13-14 questions.

The rest of the questions were from topics such as Geometry, Logarithms, Set Theory, Series and Time, and Work. Students found the Geometry question lengthier than other questions

Analysis of Quantitative Ability (SA) in IPM AT 2020

The difficulty level of the questions from Logarithms and Set Theory was moderately difficult. A good attempt for this section can be 8-9 questions.

Students found the questions from Circular races and Determinant easier than the rest of the questions.

Like the previous year, this was the first section of the paper, with 10 questions in total. There was no negative marking for this section; however, the questions were moderately difficult. This section also had questions with a mix of concepts.

In the Verbal Ability Section, one reading comprehension with 6 questions was asked. The difficulty level of the Para Jumbles and Grammar was moderate. A good attempt for this section can be 25+.

Qualification

The candidate should have passed or appeared in class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University.

 

Minimum Marks Requirement

  • For General/EWS/OBC-NCL categories, candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in class 10th and 12th.

 

  • For SC/ST/PwD categories, mark relaxation is 5%.

MCQ’s

  • +4 will be given for every correct answer.
  • -1 will be given for every wrong answer.

Online Personal Interview (PI):

  • The announcement of the Call for Online Personal Interviews (PI) will be done in the Third Week of July 2021. The shortlisting will be based on the IPM AT 2021 scores.
  • The candidates during their personal interviews will be judged based on their academics, general awareness, and communication skills.
  • The interviews are proposed to be held in the Fourth Week of July 2021 (Tentative)

The shortlisting of the candidates for Personal Interview based on the above-mentioned parameters will be as per the following score calculation.
