In this interview he discusses his examination strategies, Mock test and some important books, that the students can follow who are preparing for CLAT examination.

Here are the excerpts from the Interview :

Harshita: Congratulations Karthik  on achieving this feat, During the preparation did CLAT AIR 3  ever came across your mind ?

Karthik: Thank you. I wanted to join NLSIU ever since I started preparing for CLAT. However I had no idea about the rank.

 

Harshita: There are different fields after 12th, what motivated you to make a career in law?

Karthik: Law has always fascinated me. The host of opportunities after a law degree is attractive. Moreover law is tool to undertake 'social engineering'.

 

Harshita: Was this your first attempt at CLAT? When did you start preparing for the law entrance exams and what strategies you used in particular for your preparation?

Karthik: This was my first attempt in clatm I started preparing from class XI. I attended coaching from Heritage education ( kochi). I read newspapers regularly and solved mocks.

 

Harshita: Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for CLAT.  So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for CLAT 2021 for each of the 5 sections and overall preparation?

Karthik: English : GMAT and SAT comprehension questions

GK : modules from the coaching institution, The Hindu editorials, and Indian Express Explained.

Maths : any website with quantitative aptitude questions.

Logic : GMAT critical reasoning questions

Legal : Past year papers and Mocks

 

Harshita: What advice would you like to give the future CLAT aspirants & share with us the strategies you used to stay motivated in your exam days.

Karthik: Be confident and cool during the preparation and the exam. Being level-headed is extremely important since this is an aptitude test.

 

Harshita: What is the ideal time to start taking mock Tests & What role do  mock tests play in CLAT Preparation? What was your strategies in particular towards mock tests?

Karthik: It's good to take mock tests since the day you start your preparation. They play a crucial role. Review mocks in detail after completing them. Create  a strategy and follow it consistently.
