Harshita: A lot of Students might start their ACET  Preparation now, although cracking this examination is quite tough but are there chances that a student starting his preparation now can crack the examination? If yes, what would be some of the major tips that you would like to give these students.

Sujhit sir: ACET is required for the students planning to write their exams from IAI. First of all, I do not feel that ACET is that tough. Around 2 months of dedicated preparation is enough to crack the examination. The structure of the exam is similar to that of BBA entrance or BMS entrance that students write after their senior secondary examinations. A thorough preparation of mathematics and data interpretation helps in cracking the examination. Students should practice ample sample papers and should keep a regular evaluation on their performance.

Harshita: Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for exam as they don’t find enough past ACET aspirants around them. So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for ACET  Exam 2021 for each of the sections and overall preparation?

Sujith sir : As per the difficulty level of the exam, the CAT books by Arun Sharma is a good book to prepare for the ACET exam. For English, “Word Power Made Easy” by Norman Lewis is a great book. Institute also provides some mathematics and statistics study material which is a great help to the students for preparing for the exam.

Harshita: ACET examination consists of 5 different sections i.e. Mathematics, Statistics,  English,  logical reasoning & data interpretation ; most students are not able to complete 70 Questions in 3 hours as different questions consists of different Marking scheme , so suggest some tips to students to effectively manage their time.

Sujith sir : Every student has a strong area on which they feel the most confident. They should start their exam with that area. As per my suggestion, English section is sometimes quite tricky and lengthy, so I would suggest to keep English section for the last to complete.

Harshita: It is always advised that a student who is preparing for ACET examination must go through the previous year papers of exam, According to you why it is important to solve the previous year question papers and how they are helpful for the student?

Sujith sir :Solving previous year papers gives the student an idea about the pattern and style of questions asked in the examination. It is important for them to get familiarized by the language of the questions they would get in the exam. So, solving the past years gives them a fair idea of what they might see in the actual examination.

Harshita: Student of almost every stream i.e. Science, Commerce or humanities, give this entrance examination and each one has some weak section and  face a lot of difficulties in it, so give some preparation tips that can enhance their knowledge.

Sujith sir: It is advised that students facing difficulty in any area should give about 25-30% more time on preparing that area. This will give them more confidence and will help them tackle the exam. However, students should know that ACET is not a compulsory exam to get admission to IAI. The institute also offers other criteria for getting the admission and plan on their exams further.
